Well you can upgrade keyblades here. they either have more attack, more magic, or are balanced between the two. Kingdom Key was an all rounder. The game is brain dead easy at that too.
I really like how Keyblades arent just "pick the one with higher stats" this time. Including the option to upgrade each keyblade individually and giving them each a different transformation was a stroke of genius. It offers more options for the player to play how they want, and switching keyblades mid fight makes it convenient to adapt to different situations.

risk charge has a lot of i-frames, you can literally wait until the bar is almost depleted, spam it until it does finisher, then you can quickly use cure.
@@MastaGambit VERY unbalanced, especially since it doesnt auto finish, so as long as you go uninterruped, which is most of the time cuz he has long i frames, you can go the whole transformation without using risk, and when the bar ends, quickly promp it mid combo and it will do risk, granting you a chance to spam risk until you do finish because using risk restores a bit of the bar, and then after finish use cure, and youre safe, specially after having leaf bracer ability.
I also did play around mostly with Kingdom Key for its the only Keyblade that do a not so floaty-flashy move, Starlight for its MP Haste, and Favorite Deputy for its Lucky Strike ability.
I used Moonlight Keyblade, which is basically kingdom key for most of my playthrough, mostly used ice claws and pirate flag transformations once i got them since claws are good for many enemies, and i can use pirate flag to hit one enemy while defending myself against surrounding enemies. That said, once i got ultima, i didnt need anything else lol

I thought I was the only one who played almost all the game with kingdom key because I hate transformations. I was wrong.
