It's weird how some people just want bands/artists to churn out the same content album after album. Personally, I'm more impressed by bands/artists who evolve, grow, and change over time, pushing themselves to make more interesting and challenging creative choices. (Which is why I have so much appreciation for Bad Omens and their newest album!)
Yeah, I think that the biggest problem’s on the fact that sometimes artists entirely change their genre. In the case of Bad Omens, yeah, they change and experiment with their sound but they can still be considered a alt-metal/metalcore band. Now look at BMTH and MGK, I think they get a lot of hate from older fans since they’ve watched them completely change their target audience.
I personally don’t care what genre it is, I just like the song.
I call this genre Machine Gun Kelly music. He basically just creates his own sound. He can adapt his sound to blend with any other artist. I'm so impressed by his collaborations- he doesn't get enough credit for how he can blend his genre with any other artist - whether it's a cover like Ocean Eyes or working with artists far outside his sound like Steve Aoki, Little Mix, The Vamps and even BMTH. I've missed you!!
He litteraly copies everyone and everything. Like he tries to be lil peep so bad. And the pop punk thing is just so bland and feels so fake to me.
@@jentedecaluwe4697 Ok. That's your opinion. He had a career before Peep came along but I'm sure he was influenced by him. Why is that bad? They're nothing alike in voice or many other ways. It feels very real to me because I know where he came from and I hear his story on the lyrics but then I listen to him a lot and not just on the surface. Go enjoy what you love. Nobody said you have to like him but why go spread your negative opinion about an artist you don't like instead of spending time supporting artists you don't like. All we have to do is leave artists we don't like alone. The internet even gives us block and mute options to make our easy to pretend they don't exist. It's good for your mental health to focus on the positive things in your life.

glaive is one of my favourite artist- he typically release music that is of the hyper pop genre which personally i think really suits his voice- he’s also only 17 :)- i really recommend checking out a few of his songs

the Genre is Mix of Hyperpop(EDM Sub genre)/pop Punk.it has a drop, a buildup etc.main base is Hyperpop mixed with POP PUNK elements. and that is very creative ngl

I personally cannot stand mgk but who am i to deny his talent he can make a song sound better than u think but the thing alotta people forget is that travis barker from Blink 182 writes most of his music aside from lyrics and has produced mgk since 2020 and has revamped his career but i cant say mgk ain't talented cuz thats a lie
I can't like MGK, but the collabs he makes are always perfect
