Man what a show! Lovin Trey’s OG Rig behind him. And he really seems to be on that next level this tour. And the boys all really seem to be enjoying themselves. Awesome
I was stressing out over some college stuff during the Tweezer but then I just sat down and really heard what was going on and it ended up erasing my stress away. I was headbanging so hard, unbelievable. It’s the 5th longest Tweezer of all time behind 6/14/95, 11/28/94, 4/17/23, and 6/22/95.
They were edging us the whole first set. Jibboo had a double jam and Ocelot had a great jam that didn't have a true peak. The theme from the bottom had some gorgeous moments, and Trey played the melody lick an octave too high and looked over his shoulder to Mike so they could bring the song back in the proper key. Fishman picked up on it, resolved the jam, and they sang the final chorus in perfect harmony. They were telepathic. Fucking incredible. The crowd was so loud during the Tweezer peaks. Trey brought them back to the same 4 note peak multiple times. I literally stood there, almost confused; it was so incredible. I felt the bass bombs and light rig were sort of a gimmick the last few tours but last night it was obvious Trey is practicing again and taking them to new places. This is why we Phish.
Theme timber tweezer. Glad i get to catch the 2 in stl. Its few and far between i get to catch any shows with life. Nice recap. I saw a review that there was a Gloria teass in piper. I want to relisten to it cause i missed it. Nice nod to last time playing at this venue
I was at the show last night and thought Ether Edge was placed perfectly. It’s a good enough song, I really like it and if placed well is a nice song to hear. Everybody needed a breather after that Tweezer, and the fact they jammed it out is another special treat
So glad i opted for getting the stream, i almost didn't. Was worth it for the Tweezer. I'm doing night 2 and 3 deer Creek, so honestly was hoping tweezer would of been saved but oh well. Decent show all together. Nice recap as always man, keep it rolling! ✌️
In attendance and this show was melty melt melt. Ck5 showing no Mercy, fast Evolve, type 2 Theme Prise , Timber. 2nd set Tweezer connecting on different levels. CK5 MVP blowing minds
More was not played and as such, this is in the running for the greatest Phish show ever played. -Fzappa20 - 2024 (at least that's what i heard during the review)
It did at Mohegan, even though those shows ripped. 5 minute piper directly into Mercy...woof. That was the lowlight of the tour so far for me. Other than that what a fantastic run so far
Can someone name any other band that's been playing for 40 years and still one-upping themselves like these guys are doing right now? It's truly remarkable. These guys are locked and loaded right now!
Whoa...this was epic. Is Saw It Again referring to the 2nd 40 minute jam of the summer?I loved everything about the show (well almost everything). Show of the tour so far? Feeling the CTB and Jibboo. I even liked hearing an Ocelot in there....anywho...pretty solid 1st set. 2nd set speaks for itself. I really, really liked this Tweezer (of course) and I loved the Piper too. I did like the Ether Edge placement and it got going a little. They seemed all connected here and playing pretty tight.
Another damn Ether Edge...following a monumental Tweezer, no less. Like a massive slap in the face after rigorous love-making. Ecstasy then pain and disappointment.

Saw the first four songs and wasn’t overly impressed. Checked the setlist this morning and was wondering what the hell did I miss? Maybe best show of tour so far?
great first set. dope tweez. everything else in the second blew ass. there hasn’t been a good piper in years. blaze on sucks major ass. saw it again is funny at best. levity is important. that stupid song opening the second set sounds like shitty doobie brothers. good show though.
Do we have anything worse than EE to hit them w? Nope…Ether It is. Could have been worse could have been let me lie Friday Friends or TTE Classic ex of a show is more than the sum of its parts because there were many bad songs and yet it the great ones more than made up for it with Jibboo Piper Theme Vultures Timber and a great jam from ER even though I hate those chorus LIE lyrics…..like evolve. The universe was created ….eternal matter did not make itself that makes no sense …. But Meat and Saw it Again and of the 2nd best song of tour …this Tweezer beats the first one we got though it was epic too….Simple still wins jam of tour so far for me but this is a very close silver medal. I am so proud of Trey he is playing really really really well Mike and Trey are always the wildcards. Fishman and Page are reliable consistently amazing
That Tweezer was one of the best experiences of my life. Was my first Tweezer and it was insane! Excited for tomorrow
Just a note.. Everyone was actually thankful for the Ether Edge because we could all take a break, sit down and process the Tweezer lol.
@@JordanStar7 agreed! That whole place was losing their mind.
Congrats!
"Not just one song does a great show make." Classic words from FZ! We are all incredibly fortunate to experience this stuff at this place in time. ❤

Great show. Love the reviews. Been watching for countless years. Keep em coming please! Nice king gizzard shirt too. See ya guys at mondegreen.
I love saw it again reprise encore that is totally worth staying
Glad we got a banger. Will listen to the tweezer and some other stuff tonight.

We could never forget about you Kev, can’t wait to listen to that Tweezer today
You do a fine analysis. 7000+ views means we like your opinion.
I like your take on Ether Edge.

This was my little brother's phirst show. I think this was a very good phirst show.
"Might need to speak with the manager" , do you have a team of writers?!? Outstanding!!!!! :^D
LOVE THIS GUY!
I was starting to worry
Best Tweezer I've ever seen in my 30 years.
Me too. And I've seen a LOT since 95'.
So glad i opted for getting the stream, i almost didn't. Was worth it for the Tweezer. I'm doing night 2 and 3 deer Creek, so honestly was hoping tweezer would of been saved but oh well. Decent show all together. Nice recap as always man, keep it rolling! ✌️

They’re locked in bro 💥

(at least that's what i heard during the review)
booooom kingly as always
all even number songs rocked
That's interesting
Great show! Was there. Theme was great
got "play it, Leo" in both sets !
Piper never disappoints

Thought you’d mention Mike catching a fucking beer upright from the audience and setting it down mid tweezer. I know I didn’t hallucinate that!
I did not see that!
No way.
mike can’t catch
Make sure it wasn’t a hallucination as I have seen Jerry speak directly to me through his guitar. Double check ha ha
Stayed for what was another classic ending to your vids lol... A smokey Zappa morning to start the day.
The tone is obviously different, but that transition riff you mention in Jibboo reminds me of Eminence Front.
Appreciate the review as always.
Yes, that was it
Goose covers Eminence Front….

I actually like “Ether Edge”
Step into the Freezer!!! boom!
I stayed! Vultures and saw it again I’ll take that any show
The hate for the new stuff boggles my mind man, you know that’s how they keep playing, new ideas. That being said great show
You consider that hate? I thought I tossed a few light compliments at the 2 new songs.
@@FZappa20 alright, I’ll retract hate, because as Trey has taught us, the ocean is love…

That might have been a 40 minute reference from Saw it Again. Halfway thru the first set, I thought they were going to play it safe
Tweezer had major KGLW vibes! Boom 👊🏼
A doozy and a dandy fer sure!!
Daaaaaamn. Missed the saw it again...again. viva la bethel!

kglw nice hear ya in gr
would you ever do breakdowns like this for King Gizz?
Does the band read your comments? I commented yesterday that I was hoping to hear Gotta Jibboo and Timber and they played both! 🤔
Or maybe those songs were just due to be played
Saw the first four songs and wasn’t overly impressed. Checked the setlist this morning and was wondering what the hell did I miss? Maybe best show of tour so far?
I understand why you would have bailed after Ocelot. Felt like a safe standard show at that point
Ether Edge is underrated
nonagon infinity shirt nice
Sweet show. Cant believe how many people were throwing glow sticks at the band tho very weird.
Martian Monster is def an instrumental- theyre using samples that say pre-recorded things- which doesn't count
I agree with you
nice shirt
Mike Gordon’s WHAT?
I think Dan Z is gonna need a face transplant. 🔥 Kaboom 👊
I don't think there is a Dan Z anymore. Just dust and bones
