Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. (1 john 2:4) There is no truth in you, if you are living in willful sin, and like I said Bible does not teach Jesus already pre forgiven our future sins, Bible teaches he forgives the sins that are past ( Romans3:25) And if you are willingly living in sin after you know the truth, then their is no sacrifice for sin is left for you, only the wrath of God remains for you. If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth,no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. ( Hebrews 10:26-27) Unless you repent, you are all likewise perish ( luke 13:3) And Jesus is angry at the wicked everyday, and he wants everyone to turn away from their sinful ways, because he cares. Ofcourse we can cannot earn salvation brother, if I'm earning my salvation then my good works should wash away my sins but that will never happen. And if obeying Jesus is called "work salvation" then you have a problem with Jesus, cause Jesus is against lawlessness. That's why he said, I never knew you you who practice lawlessness, ( translate the word iniquity into Greek) God bless everyone, fear God and obey him.
@breadoflife7775 Thankfully in this grace administration we live in today 'it's by grace we are saved', and to get saved/born-again/eternal life it is simple-Romans 10:9-10 New International Version 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Jesus didn't address the pride in the "Rich Young Ruler" because it was true, as can be seen in the parallel versus of Mark 10.18-21 "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. *Then Jesus beholding him loved him,* and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me."
