Oh man, what a "GEM"!! I was born in 1963 and am currently a Snow Sports Instructor (Alpine Ski and Snowboard). We do things a little differently these days. lol This is now, by far, my favorite ski movie of all time. Thank you so much for sharing this piece of history.
Thanks, great memories . . . In case some watcher laughs at their technique, remind them that, regardless of style, the people we watched from then, were exceptional athletes. They skied parallel without our 21st-century smug skills and "state-of-the-art" gear. Bravo.
Imagine if you were at a ski field today and you saw two people in tights zigzagging down the mountain on tandom skis with a balloon tied behind their backs...

Great film. Thanks for posting. These skiers are really quite spectacular if you consider the equipment they are skiing on.

5:00 and 6:37 are clips of the fluid and highly influential Stein Ericksen. The video is apparently a montage of skiing clips across different years.
Wow! Downhill racing at 50 mph in cable bindings...
LANGRYMENY
Probably leather bindings instead of cable bindings!
Who knew there were alps in Australia ! ?
Yes and skiing is really popular

Wouldn’t be the strangest thing I’ve seen there.
Australian? )))
This film was produced by an Australian Skier & film maker. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy it
It's a mix of various clips: at 0:23 you have a view of Le Dru and La Verte of Chamonix
