That was an amazing unboxing Automatic!! What a great lesson in Marvel Mystery Tales -- those are some fantastic copies you have there! Thank you for sharing 😊
Ryan, don't skip the comiclink auction starting tonight, 2-16. There are lots of timely issues, pedigrees, and the original cover art for that EC pre-code horror book you like so much, the one with the husband, wife, and coffin. I hope you've got a bit of disposable income!
Amazing group of Marvel Mysteries! 🔥 Yeah, Frank R Paul did Marvel 1’s cover - he wasn’t as good at the human form, but was a huge early Sci Fi pulp artist, creating crazy spaceships & colorful aliens for Amazing Science Fiction Magazine starting in the 20s…
Hi Ryan, Great video. Great books. If.I were to sell my entire collection for a single run, it would be for Marvel 1 and Marvel Mystery Comics. Currently, I don't own any MM but have a handful on my want list. ...Hope you were able to enjoy the recent amazing (unusual)February weather in VA.
I cut it down to 35 (was trying for 25 but haven’t been able to do it) probably 6 months ago or so. Partly because as I have gotten a couple more expensive books, I’ve forced myself to cut the list to justify keeping them.
Timely comics are great books to own and so tough to get. I like Sub-Mariner Comics and Marvel Mystery. I also like early Batman Golden Age books with WWII themes like Batman #12, #13, #15, and especially #18.
His name is The Comic Book Presser. He’s on Instagram and has a website. If you watch any of my prior CGC unboxing videos I usually have his contact details in the video descriptions. If you use him make sure to let him know I sent you 👍
@@gumption76 I’ve used him for quite a few golden age books and I’ve been very happy with the results. Pretty much the full spectrum of them. Horror books from EC, early Batman, early action comics, Timely’s, Chesslers, Fox Feature books, etc. I think the earliest book he did for me was an action comics 19 from 1939.
Nice pricey Golden Age books. I'm gradually moving away from most modern, copper and bronze books. I'm gradually focusing on silver age and golden age books in the Atomic Age. But this is an expensive venture I have sell most of books to continue to pursue this goal.
I missed out on an all-new Comics number 19 and it went for less than 1,000 it was graded 1.8 the cover looks really nice it had spline issues just a little out of my reach I thought it was a bargain it under $1,000 what do you think I love your opinion and I really like the older books
@@AutomaticComics yes sir it had a picture of a couple of kids like fighting with wooden swords and it was really nice I regret not overspending yeah it went on eBay last night what do you think of the value it had a 1.8 grade but the case was cracked on the bottom that's probably why I didn't bid more but yeah 19 was the number you could see it on go collect I don't know how to add photos to these conversations but hey I like the show again
Another great collection of books thanks for sharing
Inspirational Comics. Thank you for showing them to us

Love your shirt!
Thanks. My wife got it for me =)
Cool hat
Thanks!
Congrats on the MM 56 and 52. I've been looking for a 52 myself. That 7 is awesome.
Great books, i really liked that marvel mystery 7.
One of my favorites 👍

I don’t have anywhere near what would be needed for that cover art lol.
These are big $$$ books man. Jeez, must be nice to have that kind of cash to build the PC! Great covers and great investments.
cool tales to Astonish
Thanks!

Would love to see all the current 35
I have maybe 8 or 9 Timelys. Two Marvel Mysterys. To me, any Timely is a grail.
They definitely seem less common on average than their DC counterparts from the same time period.
Terry Toons at one time was a popular Timely (Mighty Mouse)

Thanks! Weather has definitely been incredible recently.
I thought the keeper list was 50. 35 would be tough for me! I admire your discipline!

They don’t mention all select comics or daring comics as much with torch cap and NAMOR .
Those runs have some great books in them, but in comparison they’re very small.
Toro sure is tied up with ropes a lot. Hmmm.

Who does your cleaning/pressing on your Golden Age books? I'm always looking for recommendations. Thanks!

You’re the red cover collector.
What about Human Torch solo run? You gotta have at least one issue in a serious Golden-Age collection!
They should license those marvel comics for posters ,so cool

Are you sure it was 19. I don’t think that run goes that high

Are the books in your Keeper books all graded?
All but 1. But it’s being sent off to get graded soon.
The TTA59 CGC 9.0 is sweet. Highest graded copy that I have owned was a CGC 8.5, that I bought raw from VZ, before he joined up with Metropolis.
MARVEL MYSTERY #27 ALSO LOOKS LIKE A BONDAGE COVER, I BELIEVE BONDAGE COVERS ARE IN DEMAND., NICE VIDEO, I LOVE TIMELY.
Female bondage.
