The “plans” or drawings, are the recipe and the specs are the ingredients. Sometimes specs are listed on plans and sometimes we review by the specs only. Make sure the subcontractor marks up their submittals indicating what options, accessories or materials they are specifically using and for what task. Read the submittal section of the specs and hold the subcontractor to those requirements and it should provide more clarity.
