How to Enjoy Your Food

- What is the difference between enjoying your food and scarfing it down? Isn't the person eating quickly also enjoying? Well, the distinction is that the person eating fast is barely chewing, and forcing down the food, when really more bites and more slow enjoyments would be optimal.
Take for example, that you are eating fries at a fast food place. You probably enjoy the saltiness and crispiness of the french fries, but little else. You may enjoy feeding your hunger. However, you may not be able to enjoy it in the present. You are enjoying the dopamine hits of the anticipated next bites of saltiness and crispiness, as well as getting your hunger met.
To really enjoy the food, you will have to stay in the present moment. Be grateful for the food. That is why being appreciative to the one cooking, or especially if you believe in God, to practice thankfulness, by saying grace, helps you enjoy the present.
Slow down, enjoy the present, and be grateful.
