I wish we had the top attitude era superstars sitting down together and talking about the best parts like a reunion image Jericho talking to HHH about the heat or the rock talking to HBK about the match that never was 😅
Jericho did have a 2 parter with Triple H on his podcast several years ago and they do get a bit into their past issues. I don't remember the date, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
@@ii9714 They did have him lose to a girl, When realistically speaking there'd be no chance in hell China beats him in a real fight so. He kind of has a right to be salty.
Well, Jericho has been open about it tho more than HHH. I wish HHH would be more open about stuff backstage cus he is center of such a big topic like him, Steph and cheating on Chyna etc. But yeah, Jericho didn't really respect/ lack of awareness towards the lockeroom enough when he arrived in 99. And he had to dig himself back once he buried taker on his second promo. But HHH seemed to be a real ass back then, y2j asking for directions to a arena, HHH buried him back. And, yeah HHH was just getting his big break when y2j arrived. He was so feared about this new charismatic guy, getting this hyped up package- and stood tall in his debut against the rock on the mic. Not many could do that. HHH thought he had paid his dues from when he arrived in 95 and the 96 msg incident with the kliq. I mean think about it, if HHH wasent there, y2j prob would take his spot. 2001 invasion and vengence for example maybe?
I respect Taker's commitment to his character, and I think it was the right thing that he didn't do a spinaroonie. Though it would have been awesome to see.
Agreed. Might get away with doing something gimmicky like that post-retirement for a lark, now that we are getting to know the Mark Calloway behind the Undertaker, but not then. Although, I can fully understand the company's determination to make it happen. I'd probably have to try to get away with it myself haha
Couldn't agree more. Taker was the only guy to keep kayfabe right til the end, that move would have destroyed that not only for us but for him too all the hard work preserving his character would have been gone in an instant. I know it's gone now, but he retired knowing he'd kept it for 30yrs he deserves to tell us about it now ❤
Yeah they really passrd up on a great. Though the Taker persona made Mark a legend, it was lack of imagination on the part of wcw not lack of ability on Mark's part.
Looking back, it's kinda baffling just how bad WCW fucked itself. Who did eventually win the Monday night wars for WWE? The one big name who remained in WWE (aside from Michales pre injuries) and they thought would never draw money. The guy they let go in 1995 because they felt he was lacking. The hardcore guy they thought was too old to wrestle. The big guy they thought was too gimmicky. The young guys who got a chance in WWE because they had no one left. And all the midcarters who felt stuck in WCW. Meanwhile, the big WWE names in WCW with big contracts and backstage powers were killing their own progress. Oh the irony.
Goldust almost succeeded in it on the moment taker has mentioned in the video, goldy was out there he did a spinoroonie nd taker immediately covered his face to cover his smiling ( halfway to laughing) face.
@@jaylucien669 Not only Taker made millions of dollars, he also went to the Hall of Fame. Ole, meanwhile, keeps whining and bitching on Vince and Barry Windham got the HoF ring instead of him.
I love that Vince was in on trying to get taker to crack up. Can u imagine the giggles and laughs they had trying to come up with things to make him break character. That had to be fun lolz!😂
One moment that sticks out for me. Vince McMahon is in the back talking with Kurt Angle Stone Cold Steve Austin Kane and The Undertaker and I believe Chris Jericho. And he's hyping them up for the invasion pay-per-view. And everything Vince says stone cold is repeating and at one point you just trying to get the Undertaker to break because he keeps repeating it and yelling and slapping the Undertaker in the chest to get them riled up. And The Undertaker just looked at him with this dirty look. You can search for it
I saw it, it was so funny. I think Jericho was just hiding his face cause he was laughing. I bet only kane with mask was very comfortably laughing at Stone Cold 😂
Lol this story is hilarious. I wanted to see a takeroonie. It's crazy how many pro wrestling legends were told that they would not make it in their careers.
I rofl at the part when he was gonna shove undertaker and undertaker looked at him and said don’t like he was irritated then he turns around and shoves Kurt angle lmao.
Wise of him not to do it. We all know he's human, Mark Calaway; we've seen his kids and seen him kiss his wife. But a takeroonie would have ridiculed his character.
Stone Cold: Kurt, you're not one of the boys unless you attempt to make Taker break character. Angle: Won't he be mad at me for that? SC: No. Vince made it a company goal. Vince: It was your idea, Steve.
Taker's story should inspire us all.. The man was told to his face that he'd never draw money only to prove them right by being a jobber for forty years 😂😂No wonder WCW is still around 😂
It's honestly funnier that he never did it. The fact that a bunch of jacked up muscle bound dudes were all trying their best to get "The Dead Man" to do a breakdancing move is just so funny. Also out of all of the wrestlers other than Booker, The Rock and Goldust actually had good spinneroonis
As funny as it would've been seeing him do it, I think it was better for him not to do it just because of the aura of the character, whether he was the deadman, big evil, or the American badass.
I'm sorry but sami's comedic ability is not bigger than the rock , stone cold, santino marella and many other legends who were with the undertaker at that time, if they couldn't Do it then samy can't either

The Undertaker has to be the most professional WWE wrestler of all time
I think it was wise move not to perform "Takeroonie". That could kill he's character. Even if it's off TV.

As a Kane fan you're right. The Kanerooni almost killed me lol
At the time he was The American Badass so I don’t think it would have. As the Deadman yes.
I personally don't think so. It would have just been a cool one time thing. Kane's done plenty of goofy stuff and is still top tier.

Yes.
R-truth can make A ROCK laugh XD
Not in Deadman form he wont
Or goldust

I think he was trying to get Vince to break too.
So we basically have to thank Ole Anderson for The Undertaker's success.
20 damn years we saw deadman walking, i want 1 damn night see deadman spinning

Goldust the only one succeded lol. he deserves hall of fame for that feat alone

To the guy who told Taker he would never be a draw, i say thank you! Had he been retained in WCW, we wouldn't have gotten The Undertaker!
I love when invasion angle and Stone Cold try to break the undertaker with Vince doing a speech and Stone Cold just repeat what Vince says.
“Divided we fall”. That was hilarious man

it was in his 'American Badass' days but even then he wouldn't have looked very Badass doing that 😂, don't blame him
Love Undertaker.
WCW was good for telling mega stars they wouldn’t draw money.
I know how people can see Taker do a spinnerooni... Just get the smackdown vs raw videogames and customize his taunt
I watched that segment last night and I was smiling the entire time
they should have given taker the TRUTH, then he would have ended up laughing his ass off too xD haha
Where can I see the whole video where every1 comes out and does the spin a roonie
The day when The Undertaker said, "oh, hell no!" 😅
Some wrestler who nearly got Taker I think Stone Cold Kurt Angle and JBL probably
And The Rock
Stone Cold: Kurt, you're not one of the boys unless you attempt to make Taker break character.
Angle: Won't he be mad at me for that?

He needs to do the Takeroonie at his HOF induction!
His HOF induction was 2 years ago.
I wanna see a damn taker roonie before we bite the dust
i was there near ringside. vince refered to goldusts as the fagarooni
I was surprised Taker doesn"t speak with a gravelly voice 😳
Wonder who told Taker he wouldn't draw money,. Jim Herd?
I think it was Ole Anderson but not 100% sure
Ole Anderson. Story has been told many times.
It was Ole Anderson who said that.

Steve Austin walked to the ring wearing Bret Harts pink wrist tape, got a nice little pop 😂
Great’s miss tragedy never seeing taker do the spin a Rooney 😂😂
I've seen Taker break during a match. It's very tough to notice it but look at the clip of Austin kicking the beachball.....
He never left
In the end undertaker proved those WCW fools wrong
I swore this was Cold Stone when I clicked on the thumbnail lol

What will happen if Taker join the Judgement day
Big show was not there...
Big show there to at last before undertaker jump from the ring
I think until now WCW regret to let him go..Stupid,they dont see the Golden one..
