I'd like to call it THE CONCERT CHORALE that use to be the prime source of funding for BCC (as I fondly knew it to be). If you weren't under DR. REBECCA STEELE fighting to keep your scholarship, as you traveled every weekend, begging her to turn down the heat as she sat up front of the bus in her fur, or eat until you couldn't contain anymore b/c we knew we were only stopping once she was hungry..lol, or ducked in the bushes as she SLOWLY rode through campus to catch the students who skipped rehearsal, and my all time favorite "doc....I'm sorry" her response...."MOST NIGGAS ARE"....lol. THAT MY FRIENDS WAS THE CONCERT CHORALE that was known way beyond Daytona. I remember auditioning for Doc. My junior year of High School ('96) and in her raspy voice..."Hmmm....(as she turned to the person who pushed me in the room)....I think you're on to something here. While turning to me, "welcome to Daytona". I'll leave out the many times I was called into her office or called out period.....lol. Anyways I don't know who is truly over the choir but I'm sure a handful that were REALLY blow in' were hand picked and are from the concert chorale😊
But guys...having the voice is not always the most important thing, it's the anointing that counts! Anyone can take vocal lessons to become a better singer, but you cannot buy anointing! There are a lot of singers that are vocally amazing, but don't have the anointing and at the same time there are singers that may not be so great but carry the anointing!.
