The last bit was something Suzuki-roshi said too when he started with the native American practices and people objected to it. He said it's not an issue unless you think there's a difference between zazen and sun dance.
As a mystic, one sees the similarities in religions. As a theologian, one sees the differences between religions. The world of insight unifies. The world of words divides.
I don't see the surface I see the depth. Ooooh man how I love that. I think in the future all their will be is generalized mysticism. Just like science, although having differing fields, is just general or universal.
A little taste from the other shore Shinzen, the shape of the conventional letter 'I' has a line on top and bottom, signifying that the line that makes up the center of the 'I' is the self trapped. Enlightenment has a 100% accurate view of the subconscious. And, the mind, when Enlightened is 100% exact. I go to the bathroom at the beginning of a movie in in theater and the previews start the moment I sit down again. Physics can't be unified because it is unconscious and logically incoherent. And, don't use 'I' to refer to yourself. And, start believing there is no one here or in any universe. This is to see the millions of direct signs of unconsciousness, such as logically incoherent street signs. Don't worry, the realization that there is no thinker, experiencer and self means that thoughts and actions just happen. Also, civilizations in the universe realize at the end when they have ruined their planet that they should have built the technology down to develop eternal life, space and time travel. Building the technology down means building the self down before technology is pursued, not concurrently building technology up the wrong (incoherent) way with the self also building up. This is my second run at this, I hope I don't go unconscious again. The human race is logically incoherent. Physically, the brain is 100% capable of doing all things.

Interesting sharing by Shinzen of relevant miscellaneous views.

There's no way enlightenment can be this fucking complicated, Leslie
