Xueling is a real sad creature. She didn't get the fact that after all the "sacrifices" she made he still didn't ask her to marry him because those "sacrifices", in his eyes, were done by her to do a good job and nothing more. How blind can a girl be?

To be fair he never showed in interest in her beyond childhood friendship and someone who was a good worker. Also it is kind of weird for her to be so attached to being his parents second choice and only after facing financial trouble.
he seems like those people who have a low eq. he knows how to handle things that require the use of his intelligence but is negligent when it comes to matters that involve emotion. especially when it comes to emotional confrontation. he doesnt go down the middle about the emotional issues, he skirts around them hoping that people pick up what he's putting down. even when he was pursuing mo fei, it took her pulling away from him for him to confront the issue, because he was legit about to lose her. he never said "i like you" until she was literally on another continent. on top of that he hoped his putting her face on his social media would help him avoid having to have direct conversations with the interested parties in his life about his love life/relationship. thats just my opinion tho.
He is just being honest about his feeling if he like this woman then he could have tell her long time ago , she just assume and expect that being near and long time friend can develop true feeling such a stupid thinking she leave her job just to empasize that she is valuable she didnt think that she is repalaceable what an idiot strategy

He let her believe the two of them are closer than they really are. When year after year he doesn’t deny that they are in a relationship, then it is not unreasonable for her to think them as a couple. I may be able to understand why he didn’t talk to her earlier, but no reason for him let his family and her family think they are a couple. Whenever the families bring it up, he should’ve told them not to tease and they aren’t dating.
@@dennylam269 exactly as much as I like him and Mo Fei together he has never really had to fight for anything. It came to him to easily and poor Mo Fei is being caught up in it all being abused by everyone for being innocent. Sometimes I feel what started out as a revenge tactic on Feng part has turned to love for Mo Fei. He seems to be more genuine to a degree. Just my thoughts and could be wrong.

I never understood why Asians dramas always think and believed just because a girl and a boy grew up together that means he is in love with her. Childhood friends and the females always think the guy is in love with her just because he treated her nice. The females even go so far to believed that they have been doing the guys a great favor on the job by doing what is necessary to be done on the job even though it is the females duties as employees of the companies. It is so sad and disappointing that the females' Asians' dramas are always in fantasy land about their childhood males' friends. Tell the guy if you love him and he either say yes or no, at least you know what to do instead of being jealous when he gets a girlfriend.
Why does it seem like they're in two different conversations? Neither seems to be hearing what the other is saying - major denial! It's past time for telling the truth straight out rather than trying to save the other persons feelings.
