I guess it has different names in various parts of UK. Where I come from it’s called a staff hook or a slasher and a bill hook has a handle about six inches long and a heavy blade about a foot long with a bit of a hook on the end like a hawks beak
All well and good if you're able to leave your field without any solid boundary..not much use if you have animals or you're beside the road. Your field is wide open
