Honestly, I have to thank you guys. I had to put my cat down yesterday and it really knocked the wind out of my soul. I love animals, and watching Messi with you guys is the first spark of joy I've felt in awhile. Even if you don't read this, I just wanted to show my appreciation. Gentle until you realize that the sandpaper tongue of a housecat scales with big cats. Tigers can literally lick the paint off the side of a building, lol. I'm pretty sure Messi is being as gentle and cajoling as possible, but that couldn't have been totally painless when he was licking the back of Sasha's shoulder and head 🤣

@@mariafox9226 Oh, definitely. I have cats of my own, though neither of them are anywhere as large as Messi. I just cringe at the thought of the razor burn Sasha might get on the side of his head from that tongue 😅. I did find it funny that he was trying to grab Messi's tongue there toward the end.
My ten pound cat walks on me in the morning and she is heavy!! I can't imagine a Messi walking all over the body! UGH!! Good to see everybody and all the hugs and love from Minnesota

I wonder just how Sasha is able to resist him and pretend sleeping. It seems impossible to ignore the painful tongue but I am sure the rubbing feels so good. He thinks in mistake that to hiss at dad means to get the food faster but hisses don't seem to work on Sasha. When it's out of game or the voice command Messi got stuck on his hissing is even cute. As someone who had Cats before I can tell the difference between hisses out of passion of some sort (food, game) to an aggression and when he shows aggression it's scary but extremely rare thank God.
