Nowadays, Dr. Asghar Qadir is widely considered one of the top mathematicians in Pakistan. He has played a prominent role in promoting Relativity in the country and has made significant contributions to the fields of differential equations, theoretical cosmology, and mathematical physics. His notable work includes advancements in general relativity and cosmology. Throughout his career, he has mentored several graduate students and held key administrative positions, including Chairman of the Mathematics Department and later Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. In 2004, Professor Qadir founded the Center for Advanced Mathematics & Physics at the National University of Science and Technology, serving as its founding Director General until 2011 and as Professor Emeritus until 2019. As of 2023, he is a visiting professor at the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, Government College University, Lahore. He remains one of Pakistan's foremost mathematicians.
