Resin created by tree for a healing for a wound which could be caused by a certain bug in natural settings but in most cases they heat up the iron rod and puncture the tree. To heal that wound tree produces resin called Oud.
I really like oud. It has so many facets to it. Most ppl think stinky/barnyard when it comes to oud but they are not all like that. Some are fruity even! It's a very divisive note, but one I think everyone should give a chance.
Fantastic video! I enjoyed the format; it was a great watch. If I wanted a safe, non-challenging oud fragrance, should I go with Versace Oud Noir or Celeste Blue? - Thanks
Great video brother! It's crazy to think that two of the most desired and expensive fragrance ingredients come from tree mold and the intestinal discharge of whales. And don't get started on castorium ! We find the beauty in everything 😂
It's crazy how subjective scents are. I and my wife love Oud for greatness, actually was at a shoe store sitting next to a lady who said " i'm sorry but 1 of you smells so good, what are you wearing" and my wife says "thats him" so i told her what it was and she immediately googled. Alot of frag heads hyped up boss elixir so i tried it twice trying to like it but me and my wife both think it smells too medicinal. 🤷♂️. Let me add OFG is a 6 and under spray scent. It's potent, too many sprays is too much
Can anyone help me out? I’m looking for a good dupe fragrance but I don’t know which one I should get. I like Invictus victory eau de parfum extreme, I like JPG Scandal absolu, I like Coral fantasy, and blue de Chanel, but those are the only brand fragrances that really stood out to me.
Armaf, Afnan, Fragrance World, French Ave, Lattafa are all great houses to look at. Club De Nuit Iconic is a good Bleu De Chanel. Like Noviceknows said Checkmate is great and its just like JPG scandal absolu. His Confession from lattafa is great, more like Dior Homme Intense. Mercedes Club Black is an amazing vanilla fragrance.
“Chris…” sorry, I meant, “Nate,” would you agree that MOST “oud” fragrances are SYNTHETIC, as are most fragrances supposedly based on rare and expensive raw materials? 🤔✌🏼
Chris here! Most Ouds now days are not real oud but a nice mix of Guaiacwood, Vetiver, dirty Musk, Agarwood and Labdanum. But sometimes they use real oud its just very very expensive. So yes it could be a "synthetic" mix.

Celeste Blue would be safer imo, But Oud Noir is always pushed as a beginner oud. So it might be a good starter but ive never tried it.
@ParagonFragrances Thanks for your response!
Did you try Oud Ispahan? It's just amazing.. Tried it in a duty free shop on an airport some time ago
I've not, I will try and get a sample.

Try Armaf Checkmate King... GREAT Scandal Absolu interpretation. Lattafa Asad Bourbon has many of the aspects you're looking for as well.
