2 Squid, 1.13m White Spot Guitar Fish caught, 2m+ Shovelly dropped, Shark

Last night Dorothy caught 2 Squid, a small shark that was released and hooked a 1.13 metre White Spot Guitar Fish which took off with frightening speed so she requested that I take over. I use 130lb braid with stainless steel 6/0 ganged hooks and 120lb SS wire traces, which helped achieve the catch. We fished along side a couple of Bulgarian brothers who were friendly and appreciated my tips as they were new to pier fishing. Communication was difficult but we tried. We spent a long time up and down the pier struggling with a 2m+ Shovelnose Ray which eventually bust their 80 lb line. No rain (though there had been more than the 15 mm predicted during the day) and Herring were good.
