Real nice presentation. While in Afghanistan, I didn't run into any guys that gave up millions of dollars (i.e. an NFL contract) to not only sign up for the military but to become an Army Ranger. Pat Tillman was indeed a SPECIAL FORCE. It's sad that there were so many spineless mice in uniform that lied and looked the other way to advance a false narrative about Pat's death. One of the final scenes in A Few Good Men was when LT(JG) Caffey tells the Marine that was found guilty of conduct unbecoming a Marine and was disheartened about his soon-to-be status of being dishonorably discharged: "Harold, you don't need to wear a patch on your arm to have honor." Conversely, there are a helluva lot of people out there with patches on their arms that (from time-to-time) serve to bring disrespect and dishonor to the very uniforms that more honorable, heroic men wore.
I was in basic training at the same time as Pat.. different training units but at the same time. I knew of him and his story he was an inspiration then and still is to this day... True American Hero!!!
God bless him..I hope he is in heaven..I would think so. But I do not understand how his parents raised him in such a way that he did not seem to believe in God. In the firefight that killed him from our own forces, the trooper he was with curled in a ball and easy praying out loud and Pat said something like..." why are you doing that...how is it going to help you" Thing is that man survived and Pat was killed.

Still breaks my heart all these years later. A True selfless hero.
