I once commented on their Facebook that i wished this was in their EP releases, because its one of their most elusive songs. It also apparently has like three different versions. It was liked by the drummer, I hope and pray every day that it was a sign that they would redo it some day.
The ending "sinking to the sky" most likely also means head in. The clouds, and that means that the earth is so bad, he daydreams to feel better due to the fact of the "muddy water" quote.
i really miss their music when it was like this. i don't hate a lot of their new stuff, but it doesn't have the depth of their older songs, especially the unreleased ones.
I think this is about a person who's in deep depression. S/he is very pessimistic about everything happening around him/her. S/he is not ready to accept help, though s/he needs it.
