It's amazing to see the freedom the young ones have to tell the story of Atlanta. I'm originally from Simpson, 80's baby. A camera man wouldn't have survived walking with me through the good in the 90's. There's so much more that could've been told with the lil strip that was shown. I won't to middle school with Snow. I'm from the REAL Atlanta. I'm so glad it's nothing like the war we had to endure everyday! Stay blessed!

Yes, INVEST! Sad when he said that he wished they would have involved the community more in the gentrification. If they all get their money up and save, they could buy some of them properties around there...if they want them.
That's why the westside should be preserved. I don't understand gentrification in areas that black people had to put their blood, sweat, and tears into building up.
Those spots bring back old memories. I used to stay in Cobb County when I was living in Georgia. First I was on the east side then moved to the other side. Cobb County is close to some spots on the west side. But those spots back many memories. Out of the many places I lived I love Georgia the most. I was in New York from a little baby boy to 4th grade then we moved to Georgia. From 4th grade to senior year of high school in 2010 I was living in Georgia until I moved to Connecticut for college. From 2010 to 2018 I was living in Connecticut then moved down here to Florida where I live currently, from 2018 to present. But Georgia I love the most. And some of those spots look nice. They really touched it up so nice. I remember when stuff was looking so rough and what not. I have never seen that area so nice like that. When dude said he missed the Georgia Dome I felt that. I wasn't a fan of the Falcons, but I liked that dome though.
@@khaalidyoung I graduated in 2010 from Marietta. Home of the blue devils. To be honest, out of all the schools I attended I liked Pebblebrook the most but Marietta was 2nd. I never liked Westlake though. I am glad we did move to Cobb even though I had my love hate relationship with Cobb. I went to Westlake first, my freshman year 06-06 but first semester then transferred to Pebblebrook 2nd semester of freshman year. Then I transferred to Marietta my sophomore year in 2007 and I graduated in 2010. BLUE DEVIL ROCKS! We moved around a lot.
Very sad. It breaks my heart. Black elders put too much money, work, and energy into building these areas for people to just come in and take over. I hate that.
