Just installed these in my ‘87 944 and uploaded a video on here with real life driving comparison side by side with old headlights. Wow what an upgrade
I've got a pair in my Town Car they're great. Something I've noticed is even the Holley LEDs benefit from a headlight relay in that they are slightly dimmer through my car's factory wiring.
These look so good and should be THE only preferred selection, period. That they went for 3000K is excellent! Looks so much better on classic vehicles than anything above 5000K. All crap / bug-eye headlights should be banned from the universe for ever!!!
Why don't you test the e-code versions of those lights? Autopal had knock off e-codes for under $40 a pair and Hella e-codes run about $100-$140 depending. I would love for someone to test sealed beam vs ecode with osram night breakers (and with HID/LED options you sell vs those holley lights. LED's don't keep the lens clear of snow, so not an option here. Love your videos!
Following you since 2 years love your content. I would have love buy your products but shipping it to my country is very costly. So I'm just watching and enjoying anyways.
I want to see a road test dog. I heard these Holly Bulbs have a similar issue to Truck Lite LED's in that they both have shadows/ dark spots, overall hazey light because they are no proctored, like so many other LED aftermarket light sources.
@@RetrofitSource Thank you for the help. This might make a good footnote on your site for people that are still running generators on their classic cars, just a thought.
Hey JV, at $360-400 per pair (before tax) these are some of the most economical high performance LED sealed beam replacements on the market. We do run deals around major holidays if you'd like to check back in around one of those times though!
They do have sealed gaskets around the LEDs, but we wouldn't normally suggest fully submerging any headlight in water because there is always a chance for water to get inside the breather vents, which every headlight has (including OEM)
$400 for a pair of 5x7’s LEDs..im sorry TRS. I love u guys..but dang I bought ebay glass sealed 5x7’s. And retrofitted morimoto’s bixenon 50w h1 in them. Cost about $450. But that’s worth it for a true projector retrofit. I think the bro-tax is placed on the idea of keeping the classic look, ease of install, And the slimness. Retrofitting does require space in the engine bay (regarding 5x7)
Nice! We love a good retrofit. But not everyone wants to dive that deep into a custom build. That's where the Vision X housings and LED bulbs or something like these new Holley lights come into play! These are a great option for someone who wants to keep it simple and still have amazing light output!
@@RetrofitSource yes, agree. These are great for simple install, plug and play, and can revert back to original if wanted. Overall a great product u guys are doing an awesome job providing good products and spreading knowledge..i pretty much learned all my automotive lighting from u guys.
LED are the best headlights and no doubt Holley has a great lightbulb but they are crazy overpriced. I have looked over the internet for prices and the lowest I have seen is $200 dollars per headlight. That is $400 dollars by the time you get a set. Ouch! And you have to be very careful on what you order because cheaper knock offs, well they are not plug and play either. Many of them will not fit flush on the headlight frame and take to much modification to get them installed properly. Its like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
We have a ton of sealed beam units in our stuido from testing over the years. Knock offs, Morimotos, Holleys, etc. In a case like this, you'll definitely get what you pay for. Very few companies put effort behind creating a good beam pattern and light output for aftermarket units. Holley and Morimoto are the exception in this, as they both have astounding quality and performance. It might be a bit more than other brands, but you'll get back that money in quality of parts and the coverage of warranty too.
Holley x Morimoto is offered in both Modern White and Classic White! So if you want the updated pure white, go for Modern White! Classic White will be the old-school halogen color.
Thank you for making a concise video that isn't dragged out to 12 minutes for monetary reasons.
🤘🤘🤘
Wow, yeah why has it taken this long for something like this to be made? These are great!
We agree!

@@RetrofitSource Yeah I will do that
Your video sold me. These are legit..
Explained really clear for the older folks. 👍🏿

Good tip!
Just what we needed. All of the other options look like crap! THANK YOU!

Having that extra bump in brightness for the 5700k lights is great though!
Those are so cool. Wish I still had my 1970 Mustang they would've looked so cool on it. I would've gotten the cool white led headlights.
We love em!

Great video!! I just ordered 4 of them for my 1970 olds 442-w-30-conv
Good choice!
What’s up Matt! Great info! I need those Tundra Taillights like QB has bad bro😀😀😀! We will be giving you a shout soon.
Awesome thank you!
The only bad thing is the nearly 800 for the 4 that I need.
😢😢😢
They are on sale now though!
Where is the sale??

Maybe one day!

We've had a few customers post their reviews on UA-cam!
Are they available for the R/H drive market? IE where we drive on the left side of the road?
These are only available for the US market as of right now.
They have a spot for the daytime running lights?
Hey Steel,
Most cars made in 1950-1980 did not have daytime running lights. The Holley x Morimoto lights do not have them either.
I really wish they made these for RHD markets
The cutoff is pretty flat, I would think this would be fine almost anywhere in the world!
Is it just me or will these suit RHD as well as LHD?
With the flat cutoff they'll work for either application!
How are these compared to the JW Speaker and Phillips 4x6s in terms of brightness and beam width?
You can expect similar or better performance out of these, we are hoping to have some comparison videos up at some point!
I have a '59 Olds(5 3/4 lights) with a rebuilt generator, the output is 35watts, will that be enough to drive these lights.
More than enough!

Like its but waiting for the price drop will cost me $800 for my C2 corvette beside how often do you drive your classic at night.
Dang, you just missed Black Friday! Best time of the year to save, especially if you need more than one pair!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Too bad I have to spend almost $1000 for two pair because there’s no deals on them. (Have to have 4 for my Chevelle)

Water resistance? Important for my Land Rover Defender which gets to have a swim every now again.

Too expensive.. I got both hi n low sets for 125.. super bright 60000k.. holley 175 each headlight.
That's a good deal!
So is the color of the light bright white like a normal led, or is it more of the yellowish color from a traditional headlight. Please advise
