The trim around the motherboard gives it a super clean look. The rgb pop off strip is a very nice detail. I imagine this will be a popular case for higher end builds.
They should have put a custom loop in it to showcase it..I'm wondering if a 360mm rad can be installed in the front and 420mm on side. If so, that would make this very popular with with custom water cooling crowd
@@GSP-76 It looks like 2x 120 rads are connected in the loop but there is space at the bottom to adda third. it's the white case in the video if you take a look.
I can't believe it took so long for a company to sell a fan where you can pick which direction the air flows. Add in the interface of the LianLi fans, and I'm impressed. Kudos Phanteks. Those are awesome.
I'm lovin' the bottom perimeter mounting options for the "front" I/O. That seems to be catching on. Please keep doing this. I also like the rear I/O & expansion slot door. That's clever and very clean. The fan clips with power and rgb pass-thru , screw hole elimination , wow. This is good stuff.
Having worked with all the fans made lately, I REALLY wanna give these a try. This is the way fans should be connected. I hope they include a JST to ARGB connector in the kit though. Great coverage Paul!
I love the improved design of the O11 base. I prefer designs with airflow from the bottom to top and side, with glass in the front and it is great to have some new options.
You know how car radiators have plastic end caps. It would be cool to have clear end caps on these PC radiators combined with clear tubing. You could shine LEDs through the radiator and it would glow the tubing.
NV7 looks nice. I just have two things I wish the case had. First I would like a gray version, and secondly a power supply cut out. Modern power supplies have nice designs/features that would be hidden with this case layout.
NV7 looks incredible but from what I understand here only the bottom mounts support 140mm fans which seems like a bummer for a case that large and that expensive.
1:27 Is that a pump / distro plate on the back? YES PLEASE. If only they'd continued the aesthetic and not routed the plumbing over the motherboard but gone around. Unfortunately it really falls down at the rear: there seems to be too little room for cables - I couldn't route my fibre-optic Displayport cables that tightly.
I want a case that beats or matches the Fractal Torrent's make fan cooling that has ample drive & cable space and is air cooled focused rather than water
As I am just about to build my new PC after running my 980ti into the ground I was struggling to find a case I liked. I was really not wanting to go LianLi but thought it was my only option, until.... I stumbled onto this vid. I am now putting my build on hold until I can get my hands on this case and the fans and AIO. This looks super clean and very user friendly. I just wish there were decent white motherboards out there with USB4 that I can pair with this gorgeous case. May just have to be the AS Rock Taichi which hurts as a ASUS fanboy but as usual they drop the ball on this.
IIRC the width of the fanblades on those fans are slightly less than standard 120mm fans! The 30mm thickness might make up for it though. I love the look of them but I would wait on reviews regarding performance and noise profile.
This area above the motherboard, the empty part - can it be used for a distro plate? So that I can use the area in the back for fans. So I have fans on 4 sides.
@@Digikidthevoiceofreason no what I mean is tubes should Come From The bottom, that pump is running dry it’s simple physics if the pump is at the top that’s where the air is too
Looking forward to a thermal cooling review for this case. If the air-flow is as good as the case looks, then this will be the case for my next, upcoming build.
I can see upgrading both my Dynamic XL builds to a pair of NV7's along with the fans. This is so clean looking and I love the way the motherboard looks recessed, but hope their is enough room for my K|NGP|N motherboards with all the right angle connectors and also room for my huge EVGA 1300G2 PSU's. If it meets those demands I will make sure to be one of the first to grab a pair.
Those are some nice looking fans. My only complaint with the Corsair QL fans is the blades don't glow from the RGB like these fans do, not to mention the rats nest of wires and bad commander pro. This is a really great looking case, and looks like they really put some extra thought into it, especially on wire management.
QL 120’s are trash, the LED’s go out after a small amount of time. I kept replacing them until I realized they are just made poorly. I bought some arctic p12’s as a replacement and they cool infinitely better for 1/3 the cost.
Phanteks, why would you make that NV7 120mm only? 😥 At least there's the Thermaltake CTE coming in clutch. I need me that 3x140mm rad support. How far from the PCIE slot is that GPU bracket? Some GPU's need it to be shifted to the left or right a bit. The combs and slots at the side to pass through the cables is pretty nice.
When are we going to get a full transparent build? What we need is a acrylic PSU with leds in it. Show the innards. Would be cool for a full see-thru case build. Thanks for the coverage Paul.
There are full acrylic transparent cases. I want to say I saw a pay with some sort of transparency as well, but I don't think it was the whole thing and no RGB LEDs.
maaaaan, i JUST built a new system with their new g500a case, and they come out with this bad boy like a month later. i get tech evolution, but this is such a visual step up from the old style cases =(

I love everything about this case except the case height. I want it as compact as possible for the tightest builds possible. I appreciate the thought that went into the case design though
Hey Paul. With all this focus on super clean builds have you seen the PSU guys moving away from the horrible and pointless daisy chain pcie cables? Also what's the point of the g300a when by the time you add fans it'll cost more than the g360a
Man it warms my heart to see in person videos of upcoming stuff again. Thanks Paul. This is awesome
You pretty much said what I was thinking! ;-)

That NV7 case... OH MY...
I'm going to look around more, but the NV7 is most definitely a contender for my next build.
thinking of doing a Coolman Robin III case soon. gonna have to wait for these beautiful fans to release!
This is a beautiful case, and really interesting thoughts for cable management, I really liked it.

G'day Paul & Joe,
Happy New Year to both of you & your families,
WOW! That NV7 case look Amazing, plus all those features to keep cabling super neat 😍
Holy F I can't wait to get my hands on this case AND the fans. Never thought I'd see something that makes the O11 look obselete! :O
I'm so stoked about that NV7 case, I cant wait to drop in a new custom loop on that thing!
This could take the crown away from the pc-O11 Dynamic. So clean with no bezel between the glass. Love the rgb lights
You know how car radiators have plastic end caps. It would be cool to have clear end caps on these PC radiators combined with clear tubing. You could shine LEDs through the radiator and it would glow the tubing.

I love Phanteks. I've used the Eclipse P600S case for several builds, their tower cooler, and power supply. It's all top quality stuff.
The winding points on the NV7 is cool and the new 300a looks like a good budget option.
Thanks for this review. Never knew about this case, and now I'm thinking I want this :D
Most beautiful case that I have seen. Wish I can build one in this for a customer soon
the d30-120sssss......Phanteks = #1!!! ill be picking those up for sure!! that NV7 in white **drool** You guys won CES!
Route the AIO cable out of the way through the power supply shroud and this case would be a perfect combination of simplicity and elegance.

I still have no idea what you suppose to do with all that space up top, even a thick radiator with push/pull would not populate all that space.

i'm confused where the psu is getting it's cool air from. you showed it's intake fan stuck against the rear cover. can you elaborate?

That's a lot of fans! I hope there's enough holes in the case for those fans to get some air to blow; otherwise they're just noisy LEDs.
Dis type of case is popular first the o11 dynamic after we got the Nzxt H9 and now the NV7 and I forgot the hyte y60
Cases are really stepping out this year, a lot better looking and practical cases.
I want those D30-120 fans....any word on when they are coming out? Would make color synchronization in Signal RGB so much better than what I have now.
March!
Having the exhaust and intake options is amazing!
Would someone please point out where the gpu would be located on the white NV7 case it was a bit tricky for me 😆?

I watched a verge video and just built my first pc yesterday but something wrong with the ram i may have to buy more online.
Paul after seeing the Phanteks NV7, would you prefer that case versus NZXT H9 Flow?
Will you be able to install a distro block at the front or the otherside where the 4 fans are?!
How many intake fans and exhaust fans for the nv7 case would you recommend?
Great vid as ever Paul
This looks like a nice case but it's weird seeing all that empty space above the motherboard.
awesome looking case, but still not modular enough. That’s why i like Lian Li. They have the inverted case mode and upright gpu position.
i remember the phanteks cases 5 years ago when Lian Li made them
