BETTER THAN A NEW DEMON!...JUST A WORK OF ART... BEAUTIFUL CAR...GREAT LAUNCH...WOW...DRAG FOREVER...I WANT YOUR C JET!!
Daniel Donahue, Dodge Demon was one year only in 2018. No way could this Mustang beat one. 6.7 in 1/8 mile is 10.45 in 1/4 mile. Dodge Demon quicker than that. Mid to high 9's easily.
This car makes me piss my pants. Used to dream about this car when I was in high school back in 68. The 68 1/2 428 Mustang GT laid waste to the competition at the 68 Winter NATs. I still want one.
Yeah he has a lot of sweet cars including a gaggle of new super cobra jets
Can't remember the year,mid 70's? A guy had a 68 fastback, 428 4speed,green/black interior. Body & interior in excellent condition, sold it for $1200!!!
@@Mike583
A friend of mine in the late 70s had a 68 and a half GT coupe. With a 428 Cobra Jet. It was white with a black vinyl top and Red C stripe automatic transmission. Extremely rare car. He sold it for $700.
One of the best looking body styles Ford made for the mustang!♡
Love This, made My day. Nothing better, the slow motion was fabulous.
Great car & he's slammin gears. That's the way it used to be done.
Roger Beutler Actually I thought he was kinda slow with his shifting. I know back in the 60’s and 70’s when I use to race that me and several of my friends could shift fast enough you would think it was an automatic. Try watching a video of Grumpy Jenkins or Ronnie Sox or Bob Glidden.
@@erniemcgowin4637 look up quarter horse 2.
'68 black fastback Cobra jet. All show. All go..... This is how to beat the competition and look great doing it.
779nkp Only problem is the Maverick beat him. It is a great looking car. Probably the best looking body style Ford ever made
@@erniemcgowin4637 What were you watching?
This car sure looks like Barry Poole's car from years ago. BEAUTIFUL MUSTANG !!!
Looks like the driver side back tire going to rip right off the rim love it lol ..GET SOME
That's awesome beautiful Mustang
They need to get that wheel hop fixed I thought that rear end was going to twist and detach from the car
Yea that caught my attention too !!
I don't see what you're looking at.
I do see a beautiful Mustang, beautiful and mean looking at the same time, it got down that quarter mile pretty fast.
Was this a 1/8 mile track? time 6.652 102.57 mph the other car was 6.832 99.58 mph very nice he even started spinning before the light went green.
rbspider, obviously it's a 1/8 mile track. I wouldn't waste my time on a 1/8 mile track.
probably my all time favorite Mustang, a ‘68 1/2 year Jet!
Just such a bitch to work on in that engine compartment.
Simply beautiful 😍
Great illustration of the different forces exerted at short track modified racing
love the sound of a cast iron V8, but always preferred the rumble of a Ford.
That's my dream car right there.
Bad ass launch, bad ass Snake.
Did he just get stomped by the Maverick?!!
good grief,,,, talking about a perfectly straight pass
Beatiful
..muscle : )
Looks great sounds great stumbled on the launch. A lot or races are decide by reaction time
What a beast 💪
it might sound crazy but it be nice if ford can do a updated 1968 module and yea it have to be a push rob but no cast iron block 5.0L 308ci engine just like what dodge did on the 1971 version challenger
awsome car
The only classic Mustang to look better was the '69 Fastback
I agree sir
67 is way better
I prefer the 65~66 to the 69. 67 is least favorite. 68 GT500KR is the bomb.
Absolutely correct. Controversial take: ‘70 look is overrated
@@markperry2827 all beautiful no doubt
Awesome!
nice wheelie
early launch but hella sexy launch though
This really shows how the car winds up before it starts to move forward. My 68 Camaro with stock suspension used to leave like this, and run this quick.
Go Fast !
I wish that it was mine!
Bad ass
Was that a 6.6 1/4 mile?
I don't remember what that car runs
K Moss 6.6 1/8 mile is very fast either way. It’s pulling 101 mph! Too.
FYeah!
Not bad.

A. 68. Dodge. Dart nothing. To. This. 68. Cobra. Jet. Mustang. Take. This. To. The. Bank. North. Carolina
Not your daddy's pick up truck sonny
beautiful but he jumped lol
Can someone tell me how that's wasn't considered a jump?
Because the red light did not come on.
@@biscuitboy3617 I mean yeah, I noticed that. But he CLEARLY moved before the green light.
@@adamstampley7207 If you are looking at the green light by the time you leave, you are "sleeping" on the lights! Always try to leave when the last yellow is on, and before the green. Because by the time your brain reacts to the light, and your car reacts to your command, the green will come on.
Cutting a good close reaction time to the lights is the name of the game. It takes a bit of practice, but when you get it right, you will always have a good race on your hands!
@@biscuitboy3617 well said.
I absolutely love Mustangs...had one as my first car. But reality check. You put this car up against...say....a 68 Dart Hemi...and it will turn that Mustang in a "Grandmas" car.
The 68 Dart was not equipped with a hemi from the factory. The 383 was the biggest engine that Chrysler installed in the 68 Dart. So your comparison is invalid. If you want to do a dream comparison then how about a 68 hemi Dart against a 427 sohc in a 68 Mustang?
@@FRLN500 Whatever...I would totally put my money on the Hemi Dart
@@topgeardel didn't the 429 boss cars spank the Hemi in 69 NASCAR season. ?
@@Roadking556 @ 👍
@@topgeardel Why don't you try comparing Apples with Apples, Like a Race Prepped 427 SOHC Fastback Mustang, against your Race Prepped Hemi Dart, and i Will Guarantee Ford Victory any day of the week on that Fair Comparison.
