I made 12 color palettes and toolbars for your REAPER tracks

- I put together 12 color palettes that you can load and start using right away to color your REAPER tracks and items. It also includes toolbars with icons of each palette. This way you can visualize all colors available and just click the color you want. You can either dock it or use them as floating toolbars!

I also included 12 reaper session so you can open them all and see how these colors look with your current theme and pick the one you like. (There's screenshots of each session if you prefer that! Just keep in mind that each theme shows colors a little different.)

▶ Workaround for not replacing toolbar 2:
Go to the folder in which you installed Reaper, and check inside MenuSets folder, open Color Toolbar.ReaperMenu file, and change the number inside the brackets. For example, if you have toolbar 4 free, change [Floating Toolbar 2] to [Floating Toolbar 4].

Upon using these Color Palettes I noticed the (Soft Toy) preset is missing the Color Palettes and the tool bar option as the colors don't appear to be the same as there are shown in the RPP session if you could have a look into that that would be great (this is for mac by the way) and thank you for the nice addition of these colours !
(Edit The cube base Color Palette is the same as (soft toy) in the RPP file hence my confusion just so other people know

💻 Mac users! There is a bug that happens on Mac where custom colors don't get saved. This is fixed in the latest pre-release SWS build.

Just moved to Reaper so watching a TON on videos. Gotta say, not only are you kick ass for helping out the community like you are, but thanks for the videos in general. But honestly with everything you are doing, do you have time to write and record anymore? Lol😂
Hi Scott!! that's super good question. So it's sort of a trade that most creators have to deal with. It's very difficult to find a balance :(
I am however, very okay with that. I spent pretty much 10+ years using REAPER and making a looooot of things with it, I am happy to now put time into sharing all the things I've learnt to the world. It's as fulfilling as making music or creating any type of art~

This was something that I've been looking for a while. Thank you. I donated (not much, but some) :)
I did have a question. Do you think it's possible to switch between palettes without having to copy the icon files back into the Toolbar_Icon folder each time you switch palette? Maybe if each icon is named a unique name? or is reaper looking for those specific names? Thanks.
A tutorial on how to do this would be amazing. I Have a rerally cool Pro Tools theme, and just love the original colors in Pro Tools (with dark theme). Unfortunately, the flexibility of Reaper with regard to colors makes it hard to make this theme look authentic and cohesive. Id like to make a custom palate of those colors. I have the names of exactly what the colors are, but Id love to make my own pallate. I would even pay someone to do this to save time

I was wondering . do you know how to make selected items not go so light and faded when you select them. I've tried everything in the theme developement/tweaker and also googled and read allot and no one seems to have a definitive answer. I only manage to change the color of the soundwave itself but not the item.

I have a few issues with SWS Color though. I have to load the custom colors every time I restart REAPER, and I can't understand why.
All custom colors are set to black. Have this happened to you as well? I'm also on a mac.

Absolutely cool stuff you created and it's much handier to color tracks and takes this way. Thanks a lot! There is only one think where I don't know if I set up something wrong or if this is how it should be. Every time I reopen Reaper I have to reload the color set from the file within the action list. Any advises?

Quick Question.... We can only have one color toolbar loaded at a time? if we want to switch pallettes we have to erase/replace and do it all over again?
Hey Alejandro!! I have searched and obtained information on how to modify colors anywhere in the reaper theme. What I can't find is how to change the color in the numbers of the time ruler, since in general they come in a very dark color and I have visual difficulties, I am configuring my theme from that perspective, could you help me with that information?

Hi Alejandro, hope you are well, love your channel. I tried using your color palettes. but they are not working in version 7 (windows). When I load your SWS color sets file from SWS color management window; only 7 colors load instead of 16. I tried each set, same result. Not sure if there is a workaround, thanks!
Hi is anyone else having problems keeping the colors popping up in the track color drop down menu. I followed everything in the video, but I always have to load and access the folder to find the pallets Alejandro made for us. I would really appreciate some help, cause right now I still have to select the folder everytime I color a track. Thank you

I can't paste different palette icons inside Rreaper's Data/Toolbar Icons because they have equal names.
And I can't import that Color Toolbar Actions.ReaperKeyMap file to a different floating toolbar, neither...
Please, don't get me wrong but, maybe to have a way to feed Reaper with all those lovely palettes and be able to pick some for a different track or project could be a good thing...

To anyone coming across this, would strongly recommend rodilab_Color palette from reapack instead! Started my colour picking journey here many hours ago and found a solution with the rodilab one. Then again these custom colours are very nice
