It's a very Japanese thing, with blood types being a sort of vague personality gauge, similar to horoscope signs. All of the Street Fighter 2 characters had their blood types listed on the attract screen too.

I grew up in the 80's and 90's, and in 1986, around 10 years old I started going to the arcade at least every 2 weeks or more. So from about 1986 to around 1998 I went to the arcades, and there are MANY arcade games I've never seen or heard of before in that time. It's crazy.

For yearrrs I've been trying to remember a side scrolling fantasy game I played as a kid with my brother on MAME. It ran like shit on our pc at the time, so when the characters say their name it was all stretched out. "iiiii aammm the baaaard"
Did you use any magic in this play-through at all? Very cool that you finished the game without dying once with the Bard! Also like the theme song to this. "Wizard Fire: Dark Seal 2" was the 1992 sequel.
Anybody know what is the cause of the slight speedup music on emulation? Happens to me too. But saw other playthoughs who didnt had that problem. In this video the speedup happens too.

This game seemed more exciting to play then Dungeon Magic. That one was more slow paced. It would be great for a console title but not as a arcade game.

Lack of player moveset variety kinda made for a sort of dull gaming experience.
You can download an arcade mame from the Google play store on your mobile device and play it there; I'm playing it right now.
