Your best reason for explaining your reasoning was in my opinion to say brought her small and yes she’s now too big and I’m trying to get them out, the waffle at the beginning condones everyone keeping fish of this calibre in such a small tank which I cannot condone personally, small tanks require a sensible level of respect for the fish and for there requirements of which almost all tangs require far more than 250 litres, I’m sorry if you don’t agree with this view but too many watch these videos and think it’s acceptable and it really isn’t.

Love your channel Nathan, been following you for some time but the tank is far too small for the tang, it’s not fair at all

Corals are looking great mate - I agree that the Regal Tang defo needs to be moved on to a bigger system now ;-)

“Got a good understanding of this fish” puts a fish that grows to 30cm in a 90cm tank 🤔 never understand why people buy fish just to move on when they get too big, especially tangs such as the blue tang which will most likely get white spot when moved and die due to stress. Selfish imo.

I agree with the first part but white spot doesn't just randomly appear when the fish gets stressed, if you don't have cryptocaryon irritans in your system the fish won't randomly get it.

Agree 100 percent knows what he's doing but tank way to small for this tank if he knew what he was doing he would rehome her sad

Love your channel but don’t agree with that fish being in there. You’re just trying to justify your wrong doing by making this video. Accept it’s wrong and move the fish on

Your abusive. Fish have a high mortality rate at most lfs's if he trades her in, plus stores keep them in smaller tanks that tend to be disease infested, and tangs are super ick prone. If he sent her to another person no guaranty that she would survive the move, stress, or that the new systems waters quality would be good. Either offer help "meaning form a non profit that builds large tanks for only the construction costs and shipping costs" or get lost. I cant stand people that want step two and three of helping an animal without thinking of step one.

Personally the tang is going round in small circles at times, indicating the tank is too small. However, you now have a bigger tank, so that's great. I would love a regal tang but wouldn't buy one as my tank is too small, but that's my preference 😊

Nice tank, but I just know those fish aren’t happy. They need room to swim. But you do you man

Hey Nathan! Great content! Since I will move a Blue tang into a larger aquarium, how long could a baby live without stress in a 16 gallon?

Also, I feed my fish pellets daily. But those pellets don’t have algae. should I simply mix in the new life spectrum pellets? Or feed them separately?

Mix up is fine, you should only need the spectrum tho as has everything in it

I don’t know that, while true, the statement that really none of the fish should be put into aquariums when considering their natural environments, there’s much more to it than that, as you already know.
Regardless, for a tang/free swimmer, a … liters, a 60 gallon tank vs a 200 gallon tank makes a gigantic difference; the size of the ocean notwithstanding!

Amazing that all the comments are talking about having the tang in such a small tank and how its is somehow torture to the fish. All while no one in the comments has the space to really put these fish in any size tank that would fit there natural habitat, i.e., the ocean. But we can say to this guy your wrong, when all of us are taking these animals away from the 2-3 hundred yards of ocean they actually would have the freedom to swim in. Amazing the hypocrisy. So unless you can put the indian, pacific, and Atlantic ocean in your house. You should keep quite. 😮

Yup .I just got chewed out for asking arabica on keeping one .I said if you consider what I want to keep it in torture we’ll any fish taken out the ocean and out in any size tank wether it 200 gallons or 20 it’s all torcture side the o ram has near unlimited space for them to swim

Rehoming of fish like they are objects and not pets needs to stop. If you adopt a fish it should be for the long haul. I get angrier at the "tang police" when they say to rehome, then someone who has a blue tang in a 4ft tank that feeds the tang well and gives it a clean environment to live in. When you rehome to a fish store there is no guaranty the fish will survive diseases, or stress. And if its rehomed to someone with a larger tank there is no guaranty the water quality is equal or better with the new owner. If these keyboard warriors want to help fish put together a damn charity none profit "by building large tanks for people at the cost of construction only, not giving away free money" for people who cant upgrade tanks because of finances and help the fish stay with its owner. They cause more harm then good.

You also cant prove it would not go to a larger healthier home there is no way you can warrant that fish being in that tank its super stressed anyone can see that Nathan knows whats best and is skilled at building his reefs and stated He’s aware it needs to move. Its not being tang police its caring for the welfare of the fish. You wouldn’t keep an elephant in a basketball court would you ?

That is the equivalent of keeping a whale in a pool..If you can’t afford the proper requirements for your livestock maybe you should consider a new hobby?
