Great video. I took Hydrangea cuttings in 2017 and have them in my garden today. They appeared and looked their best at the beginning of my August 2020 update on my channel. The original plant was growing at my parents house in the 1960's and still going strong. Happy Growing.
My yard maintenance crew just severely cut back my endless summer hydrangea (late DEC 2023)….(or at least that’s what I think it is) the type that blooms on old wood. I doubt it will flower in 2024. They also utilize back my little lime hydrangeas, but I’m pretty sure those will be ok.

Hi Lisa. The hydrangea went into a large tub amd started growing. Lots of lovely shoots. Then i gave it to a neighbour. I'll find out how it is getting on. Mark
Hi, I'm new to gardening. I was wondering, what's the reason for keeping your hydrangea in a pot till Spring instead of relocating it right away? Also, please advice: I bought two big hydrangea shrubs (4-5 feet tall). When is the best time to plant them in the ground, Late Fall or late winter?
Hi. I put mine into pots because i wasn't entirely sure where they were going next. Eventually i gifted them to a neighbour. When to plant. My choice would be to plant in either late autumn or early spring. Hopefully there will be warmth in the earth which will help root growth but not too much warmth in the air to avoid foliage growth. I would mulch well and water sparingly until growing season. Then water well. Best wishes. Mark
Crikey, that's a heavy rootball you've dug out there isn't it. Great job. I tried to move one that I inherited in my garden, but I couldn't budge it. I'm sitting here with a sore back, (nothing to do with hydrangeas) which is very annoying as the weather outside is lovely and I was just putting my boot on to go out to make a pallet planter, when my back pinged and I couldn't stand up. I've ordered myself a hand pulling winch thingy off amazon to help me pull up shrubs. I got the idea off another you tuber called Bunny Guinness, she used it to pull out 30 year old boxwood, and I thought that'll do me, I'm a weakling, anyway I thought maybe you could get one, with all the plants you're digging up, and you could show us how to use it ☺
