- Madhi is part of the Rabari people and lives in the state of Haryana in India. She will soon go to live with the family of her husband. First however, tradition requires her father, Danya, to go to the middle of the desert, and pray to the goddess Nira, asking her to protect the young couple. On lake Bamkhe, Danya will find thousands of flamingos coming here to reproduce, sheltered from predators in this Indian haven of peace.

The happiness and peace radiates from these people. A simple life but they are so wealthy in love and their culture.

They are so rich in culture. Thankful that they recognized the role of the serpent in creation. Thank you Slice for another amazing documentaries 🦋
Yes, the state is GUJARAT in India n not Haryana as mentioned in description. Also a very important aspect of All Rabaris being Vegetarians was Missed ! Excellent Photography but the music could be better. Good Job SLICE

This is the India of which we have family stories of my grand mother who took herself off rom there in the 1920s by boat from England as a very poor girl to look after a white family's child. It brought back so many memories.

hello Slice Really beautiful video thanks 🍜🍣🍄🍩🍹🍄🍝🥘🥗🍔🍜🍱
I cried watching the little girl being married off but that’s their culture. She will have babies in a young age😭
Can you imagine how disruptive it would be if Westerners inserted themselves into their society and imposed education for women and other rights, undercutting the traditional hierarchy of society. It's a difficult question but you can see it from their side, how despite the earnestness of the Western intent, such forays would likely end in disaster. I think facets of this is being played in Afghanistan with competing cultural conflicts between rural and urban centers.
Western philosophy is dangerous for such people. It thinks them as uncivilized. But that's the true culture which should be preserved
I feel so sorry for the girls . At 15 they are just children . Too young to marry , have children and wear black . So sad
The girl doesnt seem to be as worried as you
OK may be you are right with age but what is the problem with black??? Why you are seeing that colour as your religious perspective
They are way more happy with their lives. Such simple lives and they live in peace. You might not have heard why they wear black. Go back in the video and see. They wear it so as to remember the sacrifices Rajput warriors gave to protect their lives, culture and their pride. See the thankfulness in them towards nature. It is just the difference of way in which you and they perceive life. They too can show pity for the kind of life westerners live. Try to respect everyone. You don't seem to show concern but you are mocking them and I feel sorry for you.
@@shubhanjaymishra3428 exactly all these native culture lived undisturbed and happy for several centruries until the west tried to introduce its so called civilised standards and destroyed the relationship of man to his environment. Every native culture influenced by western ideals has been driven to poverty and starvation.
@Jerome S who are you to judge that

Beautiful girls.
3:16 ...the act and consequences of racial defilement is and are ugly. These people, while not of my race, come across as being attractive. Smoking kills.
The animals are too thin
It's the soul of the desert to stay thin.
But these all tradition culture flamingo etc can't hide the innocent cruelty going to be happen on these children ...😑😶😶
Every thing is good but only one problem child marriage 😔😔
