Juvenile tang in a 20+ gallon long tank 30inches+ should be fine for the first year until they can be switched to a 6 foot long one. (I don't think gallon size matters so much for a tang but the length is important)
What are your fish recommendations for a 10 gallon nano reef tank? Having to downsize for college and was seeing if there’s anything I’m not thinking of.
I have a 20 gallon AIO tank been running for a while and I want to put in a 1 inch yellow tang in there “ captive bred “ and move it to my 80 gallon in about a month whats your opinion? just waiting to move to have it set up !
Great content ! Can I keep a small tomini or cole tang in my 48x17x15“ ( 120x45x40cm ) for 1-2 years? Maybe in 2-3 years I will upgrade to 55x17x14“ ( 140x45x35cm) shallow reef . Thanks a bunch ;)
Not an expert but I have been reading up on the Tomini tang smallest tang it’s minimum is 75 so if you have a lagoon your tank is probably almost similar length…
Hey I am getting a 38 gallon tank (Plexi) And I was wondering if I could put a sail fin tang (4 inches ish) and a couple other Small fish would that be all right if I keep up with my water changes etc.
@@spooke9548 I hope you tang is doing good but 50 gal is definetly way to small for a sailfin tang I would go atleast 70 and for a 38 a sturgeon fish or “tomini tang” is more appropriate for a 38 or 50 gallon tank
A 3 ft nuvo 60 for a yellow eyed kole tang or a yellow tang which one works in the long term? Or a bristletooth tomini? What tang should I get for my 60g?
They are in little tanks until a customer buys them and take them home. So what’s the difference but he hit all the reasons why you would do it or why you would need to do it.
WUT WHO NOT TOLD ME ABOUT DIS I PUT DORY FISH IN 10 GALLON REEEF CUZ UNCLE GAVE ME WUT NOOOO HE GOING TO DIEE PLZ HELPP I ONLY HAVE A 20 I CAN UPGRSDE TOO WHAT I SUPPOSED TO DO??!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!
Fliegerabwehrkanone 2016 Yes I qt every fish and I QT almost every fish in copper. The only reason I wouldn’t treat a fish with copper is if I do research and find that a species is sensitive to copper. In that case I would observe the fish in QT for 4-6 weeks and only treat if I had a problem. I have found I lose less fish in QT if I treat the fish with copper as soon as it goes in rather then waiting.
your new set is nice and bright. Looking good Scott!
Making the flow strong also helps. Please comment more tips if you have any. Thanks

Chromis, clownfish, blenny and psuedo.
Clowns are perfect if you want a convo piece.
Honestly I don’t think a fish will notice how big a tank is, coming from an huge ocean
I think so too. Especially when the tang is small.
Scott, what do you use for ATO on this nano??? I've tried a few...thanks great video
What about a lavender tang? Any thoughts on minimum tank size?

Small ones should do great!
Great info bro..you hit all the points...have a blessed one🐠👍
I heard the smallest tang is the white tail bristle tooth tang
Can I add any tangs to my 20 gallon nano?
i have a 65 gallon tank will a yellow tang do fine?
Keep whatever you want
It’s a fish
So should you keep 1 fish in a qt tank or dose it matter
What tang would be Ideal for a 50 gallon lowboy frag tank with a 40 gallon sump foot print is 48x24x10

What about a tomini in a 75, 4 foot? Does that sound fine?
papa bubu should be fine
Yeah they only get to 6inches that should be fine for that particular tang
thxs for the reply I went for it
papa bubu should be perfect
how long do you think i can keep a small yellow tang or a kole tang in a 55g
Gucci bop it as long as you want
Can I put a yellow tang in a 37 gallon long
34 L 12w 16h
Could I keep a tomini tang in a 55 gallon I have my rocks made so there’s swimming room all the way around the tank and I plan on getting a tiny one
I have one in my 60 gallon as of right now, in a few months I'll be upgrading anyway to a 6ft'er
@@imranzaman5938 so probably not
@@hotgravyy498 just keep an eye on the size, I think for the most part you should be fine
Why talk in front of cheap ikea furniture and nicknacks? Why not talk in front of your tank?
Amazing Scott! I keep tangs in nano when QT-ing.
So no tang recommended for a 40?
I keep mines in a 20
Bio-cubes

It’s a pretty small tank and they get pretty big. I would find a really small one and have a plan for when it’s big if it was me.

I was thinking of adding yellow tangs to my 75, but i dont want a misreble fish. (My first saltwater tank moving from african cichlids)
Scopas tang
I have a scopas in a 20 long .
How long has it been & what size u get it?

I am a rule breaker within reason.

Not a fan of keeping Tangs in a Nano tank :)

bring him back to the store, he will definitely die in a 10 gallon
before you take fish or buy a fish you need to do research, its your responsibility to give them the right home
what you do is you do your research, silly
@@Hamburg_ER. bro stfu that was like 2 years ago the fish is fine it’s in a 30 gal
Not that you'll ever see this...but i see you have a trigger....i was told they cant be kept with coral. How do you do it?
Fliegerabwehrkanone 2016 blue throat triggers are pretty Reef safe. Cool thing is they do well in male female pairs
