I've got such a place in my heart for Rutt's Hut. It has everything someone could want in a hot dog stand--excellent & unique dogs, history, and just the right amount of Jersey attitude!
Never been to NJ, but THIS place I have #1 on my list to stop at and try if I ever get close to there absolutely positively!!! I personally have been making my hot dogs "ripper" style for years before I ever found out about Rutt's Hut, and ever since I have had them on my list of places I must visit. Cheers!! 🌭🍺
You need to check out Boulevard Drinks in Jersey City and Johnny & Hanges in Fair Lawn. Boulevard Drinks has a unique spicy onion-chili sauce while Johnny & Hanges has the traditional North Jersey Texas Weiner Sauce. I grew up in North Jersey but now live in Monmouth County near the shore. North Jersey hot dogs just can't be beat IMO
