Park Bom was 25 years old when the mv was made. At 71 I have noticed how peoples faces change with age. There is no indication that Bom has PS before she joined 2NE1 nor anytime in her career. However, she did have weight gain during the drama over her medicine. I have watched similar changes in my wife when she put on extra weight. They went away when she lost weight. When Minzy began to talk about the hard times, Dara broke down crying because she felt as though since she and Bommie were the eldest at 25/26 when Minzy was just 15/16 and CL was 18/19 (at debut) she should have taken better care of the younger girls. Another sore point is that when BLACKPINK was debuted, YG spoke of how beautiful they were and almost marketed them as a prettier version of 2NE1. They were also given 2NE1songs and Ted Park a.k.a. Teddy Oppa became their Producer when he was originally 2NE1’ main Producer. It felt like a complete betrayal. So yes, as fans we are protective of them ( just like we ARMY are protective of BTS) but I think because it is a girl group who was super successful( even when put up against their brother band , Big Bang) but were always slapped down by YG and Antis that have our feelings a bit raw. I like how honest and true your reaction was but the comment that was made towards Bom was not it. Bom got diagnosed with lymphadenitis she still continued to suffer from episodes ever since.
It will be nice if you actually do some research instead of judging her appearance like everyone else. Bom wasn’t just being called ugly the company yg suggested surgery for them. Bom was the only one that got surgery. She was getting help and everything due to her condition before all this happened.

Some of your favourite has gone through surgery just like her. But only few has conditions that she has. There’s a lot of things that new people who discover Kpop don’t know about. Park Bom was 25 years old when the mv was made. At 71 I have noticed how peoples faces change with age. There is no indication that Bom has PS before she joined 2NE1 nor anytime in her career. However, she did have weight gain during the drama over her medicine. I have watched similar changes in my wife when she put on extra weight. They went away when she lost weight. If you disagree please tell me which doctor confirmed the rumors. Enough said.

Jelly, (THIS IS gonna be long but please read) it’s not my place to apologize for anybody else however as a blackjack I can understand why people are angry at some of the things you all said but I’m sure you all did not have all the information that we have and the people who are yelling the loudest should know that an organic reaction means you DO NOT have background information and that you are only speaking on what you see at the time. As a matter of fact it even seemed like Gumby for one, tried to reel in his comments and not say any more. Which I for one appreciated. I Noticed some people saying that Bommie did not get ANY surgery and if they want to whole-heartedly believe that then that’s fine ( unrealistic but fine).
And I’m only saying that because we do not have any idea, not even the smallest clue, of what happens in the day to day of an idol‘s life...Even though some of us think we do and that’s the type of mentality that leads idols down the darkest paths... something that we ALL should know by now).

The girls had mentioned it ( YG’s remarks) quite a few times on television and the last person to mention it was Minzy herself when she was on a talk show promoting her Single “Lovely”. The show was cohosted by her former 2NE1 band mate Sandara “Dara” Park. When Minzy began to talk about the hard times, Dara broke down crying because she felt as though since she and Bommie were the eldest at 25/26 when Minzy was just 15/16 and CL was 18/19 (at debut) she should have taken better care of the younger girls. Another sore point is that when BLACKPINK was debuted, YG spoke of how beautiful they were and almost marketed them as a prettier version of 2NE1. They were also given 2NE1songs and Ted Park a.k.a. Teddy Oppa became their Producer when he was originally 2NE1’ main Producer. It felt like a complete betrayal.
So yes, as fans we are protective of them ( just like we ARMY are protective of BTS) but I think because it is a girl group who was super successful( even when put up against their brother band , Big Bang) but were always slapped down by YG and Antis that have our feelings a bit raw. To those in the comments who are being completely unreasonable and their are quite a few of you: I hope you still have this much energy to actually stop aiming your venom and vitriol at people who don’t have knowledge on what the girls went thru and aim it where it belongs which is right at YG’s feet.
Jelly, Gumby, Reshae and Bella, I really hope that you all will continue to do 2NE1 reactions because they truly are an amazing group of talented young women. The start they were winning prize after prize because they bought that most girl groups today don’t have and that’s love and passion for their music and the ability to leave it all on the stage. They had presence that made you want to cheer for them even if they beat even your faves. You couldn’t help it! They were just that good! The girls solo careers are going well too. Please check out their solo stuff like CL’s “5 Star” (with DPR Ian playing her soulmate in the MV) or check out Minzy’s “Ninano” featuring NYC King FLOWSIK or her song “All of you Say” which is personally my fave. All of Park Bom’s songs are great! Our Bombshell has better vocals than most of KPop today.
