I'm not sure how this band managed to basically be a completely different band every album, and actually succeed. You have this, an offspring-sounding album, and even a Smashing Pumpkins-sounding album. And let's remember their first EP being Death Metal, their debut album a sort of gothic-death metal with some weirdness and humor in the lyrics, and now their last 2 or 3 albums are more a melodic-metalcore-ish death metal, really weird! really original!. They can basically do anything.
This song is an anthem!!! only for people with wide and select musical taste i admire them they were a band in constant change, thats harder than always keep playing the same style!
krowaq I know even much more underrated groups, for example RA (album Sinnocence). It's one of the best albums I've ever heard but hardly anybody knows about it.
At last someone mentions Rusu Andrei (first album Geniu Pustiu is also great). Another very underrated band from the 90´s - DEPRESSIVE AGE (check second and third album from this one)
Woow ! It doesn't sound bad at all ! I knew this band when i was 14 yrs old back in 1994 when this band was playing pure death metal ! And i listen to this 2024 very electronic tendence i'm impressed 😮
i recall back in 1996 i used to hate this song so much and this strange change of direction. But now when i've got much older and after all the years passed by, i understand that even "pop-sellout" Pyogenesis will top every band MTV is showng these days.
What a great song. I remember playing the album again and again and again. Where do I ahve it by the way? And - how could Liquido happen to this great band?
The rest of the album isn't electronic like this, but does have the same theme of...psychotropic drugs, but still has this guitar tone that comes from their metal background. Mono...or will it be the way it used to be (incredibly weird album name) is the first full transition album, it's a mix of 1997 Greenday, 1997 The offspring and some Bad Religion thrown in, but very well imitated (except for some translation errors on the lyrics which are kinda embarrassing).
I listened to this a lot back when it was new, I remember importing the CD from Sanity in Australia. Took about 4 months back in those times. I find this quite funny, something about Flo playing in the shower amuses me lol
I dunno man, they kinda lost me after 'Twin Ale Blood'. 'Waves...' and 'Sweet...' were still firmly rooted in metal, different as they were. (Great albums though) But this?? I really think they should have changed the name of the band.
Moreso, Ignis Creatio was nothing special back in the day: you got Pan.Thy.Monium, Therion, Dissection, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost or Katatonia at their peak back then, so many of us old metalheads with extreme + varied tastes welcomed the Waves of Erotasia and Sweet X-Rated Nothings changes for the good. Death Metal was, er, dead, by 1995 and Pyogenesis could never challenge or top bands like Morgoth or Grave. So they embraced "avantgardisms" and retro culture. And you want to hang 'em.
no matter what any of the newer pyogenesis fans have to say, the musical complexity went from genius in the early era to generic pop punk chords, the only way i can describe them now is this...symbol of disgrace
FYI it isn't pop, more like alternative/indie rock, trying to emulate the Manchester sound, probably. I've been keeping an interest on Pyogenesis since the day I bought the 7'' (back in 1994), and there's nothing more commonplace, vulgar and clichéd that people bringing them down for their "radical" change. Get over with it. I've been hearing this old lady complains since 1997 or so. Ferrchrissakes, don't like it so WHY are you here watching it? Is it because you need to troll? Pathetic.
One of the worst sell-out jobs ever. Yes, I love their Ignis release. Been a fan since day one, but they lost me with Sweet X. This band isn't even good at what they sold out to be. Avoid... Porno-drug music. Not even pop.
My dying bride. Cathedral.

One of the most underratted groups I know.

This song takes me back to Deutschland 1993-1997
I met them in Mexico City during their Sweet X-Rated Nothings tour, (took them to El Chopo). They were real cool.
Woow

me trae excelentes recuerdos

Can hear it 1000000000 times and atil love it
10000000 years advantage to their age

I'm still not sure what exactly "space bread" is, but I guarantee 100% that Nasty Natalie could convince me to try some.

I just can't believe this was the same Pyogenesis that played death metal in the early 90s. There early stuff was more fitting
None of their albums are alike it seems.
song and band is mid 90s and dead since long time as far as i know... coming from southern germany.... fat guy played then at liquido....
It is so ridiculous to listen to the song about love&peace from the band called "Pyogenesis" :))

So ahead of their time. When everybody was making xteme metal
Pyogenesis, doing Harlem Shake before it was cool.
ROFL

augustopalma well, they werent consistent... they had really bad albums and they were metal genius...
I Fucking agree. What the fuck is this?!!!
Que mierda le paso a esta bandaaaa
Nonstipulated Genre.
great band was ... but time corrupted...
