This was fun. I get a kick out of Wallace Ford and after reading his bio have a great deal of respect for him. Back in the 1960s my mom worked at the Oaks Hotel in Ojai, California as a housekeeper. She saw a number of Hollywood stars who stayed there but the story she told that I have always remembered is when she went to a room to make up the bed and "Wally Ford came to the door in his underwear!". 😄
@@gardengnome3249 My comment about making up the bed was an example of my humor. I have offended enough people with my attempts to be funny that I make very few comments any more. 😄
What a sweet movie with a lot of heartfelt sentiment. Gloria Shea's character was certainly the eternal optimist! And what a fine performance from her and Wallace. That bedroom scene almost brought me to tears!
really digging those spectacular old cars. i'm not even a car nut but were not they gorgeous? and yes, thank you pizza flix. i'm definitely nuts over you. thank you
Great movie, thanks! I was worried about the "spoiler" someone wrote in earlier but it turned out great! I love these "shorter" films - 1 hour is plenty to tell a story! And easy to fit into my day/night! Thanks again
AMEN to that Lady, you hit the nail on the head I’m 83 and have had significant ADD forever No chance I can watch a long movie without breaking it up 3, 4, or more sittings. Thanks for getting the message out there!
Wallace Ford (real name 'Grundy' ?) came from Bolton in England: he started with nothing as an orphan and "made good" , first in British pictures and then in Hollywood.
Was in a John Ford picture made in England. Not sure why. W/Grace Bradley. She was terrific too. He steals a shot of booze exactly as here and this pic is the earlier of the two.
He and his traveling pal were in Canada .. Decided to go to Hollywood.. Very little money. 'would "free hop' a train . The pal (whose name was Wallace Ford) Lost his grip and died So, Grundy changed his own name to Wallace Ford...as an honor
That is exactly my point. No laws were broken. The special counsel found no criminal behavior. Years of investigation discovered no collusion whatsoever. Both the CIA and the FBI are now being exposed for falsifying evidence, lying to the FISA court, and spying on Trump. Ordered by Obama. The Deep State is real. It's not a dream Covid19 was done purposefully.
Nothing can beat these old movies. This is one of my favorite periods of film.
Love these old movies. The cars are amazing, they had style.

That is the coolest cigarette lighter ever. Why did not that remain a fixture?
I like the artwork at 6:45
AWESOME
Reminder to add to list to watch later, but sounds staticy.
Do you have any films of Jean Harlow? I see the ladies in this film are all platinum blonds, except for Mrs. Green.
And Skippers mother. Jewish guys wife at the Pawn shop. "Mazel tov!"
"You're welcome"... gentiles! Oy Vey!
This is cute in an eccentric way
Ah the days when you could end a movie with a little spousal abuse.

cute tale with a populist theme, a working class happy marriage! MAGA
Your cult leader will be gone soon and then off to jail or skip the country and head to the arms of Putin.
I agree he is a populist. But your mention of Russia in 2020 is proof that blinders won't come off. Sorry. 😞
