Roy shows why he is a rock legend with these tunes. San Francisco girls is the highlight of this set which has all the energy of the Flamin Groovies first 3 albums.
Man Roy plus '79 Groovies would've defined success...this is like pub rock in many ways...garage rock got even more love in the 90s beyond with Lil Steven.
Saw them a few times in SF at the Mab and elsewhere. Never a big draw, they were happily out of step with the city’s then-thriving punk scene but other musicians appreciated them. I think Loney worked at a record store on Clement Street.

After this group brokeup, Daniel Jean renaud recruited Mihm, Ferrell and Chris Wilson and together they were The Kingsnakes. The rest is history
