" A fresh bit of foot skin." LOL these two girls are great. I love their personalities, & the talent is top notch. I want them to have years of growth & success!
Their quiet way of speaking, genuine smiles, humility, femininity, modest way of dressing, strong feminist intelligent lyrics with catchy fun tunes. Incredible! Watching them and listening to them makes me happy.
They are so much fun to watch. Always smiling. In interviews and on stage. They are so refreshing among all those narcistic artist who think they are God. I wish them all the best and don't ever change the way you are!
@@EarthlinkRecords7 Wet dream is my favorite, followed closely by Angelica, then chaise. Pre-ordered album because that is already more than my money's worth.
That was a lovely interview, nice job Andy Chanley. Best I've heard from Wet Leg. Rhian and Hester seemed so relaxed. Put most of the UK interviews to shame. Top job.
It's lovely to see genuine, non-factory-churned-out people making great music and being themselves. A breath of fresh air against all the fake 'celebrity' 'musical artists' there are nowadays.
Look into the UK music scene especially and you will find A LOT more REAL bands, many featuring epic women!! (and don't forget The SoapGirls from ZA!) I say this in May of 2022, more than a month after the WET LEG album release. I ordered it on vinyl as well as CD!
ironically for Wet Leg is that their wider audience will be older than they are - indie 'band' gig goers are older as a demographic, people their age mostly head to EDM. it's rare to get musicians with instruments, to gel so soon. And we all crave the 'new'.
I'm thankful for the interview, the single, the video, the internet that brought them to their fans, and their friendship which created Wet Leg, + made it all possible
Guy at work said listen to this it is weird! Spent all weekend digging. I have a space in my living room where I have been looking for a sitting solution and I have decided after this interview that the space is perfect for a chaise longue.
Rock 'n' Roll really IS being saved now, mostly by an unintentional COLLABERATIVE EFFORT among TONS of EPIC women in Rock n Roll today! Not all of them but a great many of them are part of the burgeoning UK music scene, much of which is underground. Just to name some of my favorites besides Wet Leg Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers in this rush of new (and NOT SO new) female talent: From South Africa, Mille and Mie Debray (The SoapGirls. 100% DIY and you ALL MUST check them out!), Camille Alexander and Marie Niemiec (A Void: an eclectic power trio and nightmare of sound engineers! lol), Becca Macintyre (Marmozets - two families in one band), Lauren Tate & Becky Baldwin (Hands Off Gretel - Lauren is also in Delilah Bon and Becky is also in Fury), Nina Courson (Healthy Junkies), Amy Love and Georgia South (Nova Twins), Kelli Mayo & Peyton Bighorse (Skating Polly), Tanzy Velayne (Midwich Cuckoos), Emily Alice (Alice's Ants), Marisa Rodriguez (Marisa and the Moths), The Four Elliot Sisters: Alison, Anna, Amy and Abby (Maid of Ace), from OZ Amy Taylor (Amyl and the Sniffers) and of course Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless)... and God knows I can find more! Seriously these chix ALL RAWK!
love your braids, thanks for the silly comments dad. Who is that guy? Tip: Have someone from the generation of the interviewee, be the interviewer. Otherwise, it's creepy. Cool the skin off as quickly as possible, ice will do, but it has to be quick.
That’s a silly comment. Are people over a certain age not allowed to interview Wet Leg because they are two [attractive] women in their late 20s? He’s a bit older than me and I like Wet Leg, so much so that I went to see them play live recently. I also like Rhian’s hair braids. Is that creepy? I don’t know where you live but here in the UK, it’s been the likes of Steve Lamacq who have promoted Wet Leg on the radio. He’s 56! I thought he was okay, but Rhian and Hester were brilliant - just keep giggling in interviews; it makes it a good watch.
@@pedalpusher1696 I'm 52. It was more the ignorant comments about Amish people and the dated Beatles reference to where they live. He just comes across as corny. Most dj's are. IMHO
@@ericharmon9025 Sorry, I clearly misunderstood! Agree with that. I passed on the Beatles reference as it came across as a “think of a British band” quickly, taking an obvious choice, rather than thinking of one for a couple of people who’d have probably started getting into bands around the mid-2000s and afterwards. The Amish reference, I kind of got that vibe from the vid myself, but now understand ‘cottagecore’. The interview was very revealing. I had wondered about Rhian's musical background, for example, as just recently discovered her solo material prior to Wet Leg.
Views of Chaise Longue at 1,637,750 !! I LOVE the garage band sound, the low-budget videos, and lyrics that actually require you to THINK!!! Best new band I have seen in a very long time.
That bet thing was creepy. You put Them on the spot. These ladies are genuine and transparent. I’m sure your excuse for this behavior will be that” you’re doing business,”right? With all due respect. Sir., Not cool
I want Wet Leg to do well, but it's totally possible they will go the other way and just be a one hit wonder. They seem to be going on tours and appearing at festivals but only have one song. Wut?

I'm 49 years old and I consider Wet Leg the most original music of the last 30 years. I love them.
64yo brand new fan here!
Finally, something good since the grunge/alternative explosion from the 90's.
46 me heard them at the IOW fest and I’m now a fan. Going to see them in my home city next month.
57 and in total agreement!
There's plenty of great and original music out there. I think that's a crazy statement to make.

Their ordinariness is great. I hope they never lose it.

Their whole album is wonderful!!
He interviewed rlly well, they seemed super comfortable. One of my favourite wet leg interviews !
Can they really be this happy? So uplifting. Fantastic!!
This interview was so funny. That "new foot skin" comment made me cry laughing. Great band and seem so nice and fun.
These two women are absolutely delightful! (Comment provided by Old Guy in SoCAL.)
I'm still freaking out that the voice I heard saying "I can't stop shaking" at the end of Chaise Longue was so close to Hester's real voice.
I love them SO much. I can't stop listening to Chaise Longue
What a great interview, Andy! Really natural and honest. Excellent work Andy and WL :)

@@jeremymanson1781 yes exactly. indistry shill or not their music is incredibly bland
I really enjoyed how observant this interviewer was
its like the girls from little house on the prairie have discovered punk and funk, its amazing.
Great interviewer and interviewees.
The quiz question is genius. This guy is great at interviews
These girls are simply adorable.
Chaise Long is a great single, hope there is more where that comes from. These 2 seem very happy go lucky, wish them well.

Wow!!!!! Hester is a Pink Moon fan!!!!!!! Awesome to hear!!!!!!
Keeping it real and natural... YES !
A breath of fresh air! And cottage-core? Yeah, I'll buy that.
It comes from “lifestyle” magazines aimed at women readers.
Rhian and Hester are absolutely lovely and so real. I love Wet Leg! :^)
great tune since last summer
Their two songs came up on my YT feed and cheered me up. Instant fan.
Very sweet ladies 💖
I hope they do more. They're gonna be famous.

Had to stop at 4:14 to watch the video again
Incredible music

Annnnd im in love :)
Girlfriend is an awesome single as well! Love the hard charging hypnotic guitar riff!
Theses two are cute overload.
Wet Leg are amazing, I love those two singles. I get 49 Chaise Longes in the video, still not enough to swing it in Wet Leg's favour.
Does that include the one in the title??
Hey Hester, what shall we do in lock down.......... Oh, I know, let's write and record the most perfect pop song since Surfer Girl.
They are super high but it's fun.

It’s great seeing nice working class girls achievements
They went to college, so 'working class' might be a stretch. I don't think they've had to do a hard day's work in their lives.
About as working class as Tories 😂😂😂👎👎👎

Did Wet Leg get their name from the inability to make it to the bathroom on time?
The have to make a song about "looks" that rhymes with "kooks" or "dukes"
Wet leg is Messy! Smooches!
Bjork Mk 2
Maybe #teamrecorder can help out on the next track
I think these pair have been slurping on Pepsi Cola and Coke, as Lana would say.
That fame came quick.
What are they smoking?
success.
How many times can these two girls say "LIKE" ? trying to be modern day valley girls....
It's a British thing
I bet that they said "Like" more than 47 times 😉😊 Sorry girls
