Either in hyperbloom or just burgeon, Nahida's overwhelming Dendro makes it very very easy to reliably vape a considerable portion of your vape-able hits, since any Pyro app onto a dendro aura guarantees burning. It can be unreliable to get Hydro swirl or Crystallize on the 2nd rotation, precisely BECAUSE of the overwhelming dendro from Nahida, so I've actually been liking Dehya as a last slot for Hyperbloom teams, since it's very easy to get a forward vape and maintain your 3rd stack of Neuvillette's passive. I've also been liking Burgeon teams with Xiangling a lot. I'll be covering this in the post-release, but that won't be out for a little while so I wanted to add this comment!
I'm really happy with his performance. I had the commission where you have to shoot down the balloons while on the airship/blimp/whatever, and he just held out his hand and went "Joewari da ✋" Thank you for the video Zajef, and thank you to the editors getting this out so soon. Good luck to everyone wishing for him.
FYI You can get neuv's ca out faster if you let go out the attack button sooner after he absorbs the sourcewater droplets. Also after he's charged up, you actually don't need to hold the attack button.

I really got used to Hoyo releasing trash characters that I still can't believe how strong Neuvillette is, even after pulling him. He so smooth to play and that charged attack animation is soo cool and really fun. Really happy good characters like Neuvillette are back again!
In the post release analysis please explore more about team composition, I am liking his gameplay but havent find team comps where he feels natural to play. The closest team I pretty like is electro charge with venti, beidou, and fischl but I am still little bit iffy bcs lacking of healer for other team member and beidou doesnt feel good in single target scenario. But overall tysm for the insight in this video

if for me, i let the final deciding factor just be animations, if it looks cool as hell , ill just pull. like when i pulled raiden, i was 50/50 on pullling her due to she not having synergy with beidou and several other mislieading by TC. but then she uses her burst and slashes open a rift in time and space? that's what sealed the deal
I pulled for him and still have enough saved for Furina. Apparently they both synergy really well like you said, although I am still waiting for gameplay confirmation of this. I will still be summoning for Furina, because after this only Arlecchino interest me until Natlan.

I also noticed the rotation issue immediately. It's a bit difficult to line up his team's buffs and skills durations perfectly. I often lose Oz or kazuha uptime.
there is 2 new tips for neuvilette 1 - if you dont maintain the charge attack you will win 1 second because he will do the charge attack earlier. 2- you can 360 his charge attack in very high speed and destroy everything AOE if you also raise the horizontal camera sensitivity at max in the setting and also mouse max sensitivity in windows setting...you will be blown away by the results if you dont know that technique yet try it.
The first point is exactly what was happening to me yesterday when I was playing him and I had an innate feeling that his application doesn't last long but watching zajeff made it clear for me.
As a controller player, I was pleasantly surprised that they thought to give him the ability to use L2 for his Charge Attacks. So much more user-friendly than having to hold a face button when you also want to use the right stick to aim. I don’t remember if that was ever mentioned in a leak, and I hadn’t even considered that they might do that. Good stuff.
For anyone considering constellations, apparently Neuvillette’s c1 makes him much better with Furina as it will allow him to gain the last stack of his passive AND run double hydro.
Honestly I had no plans on pulling him, but I tried him in his trial and he felt really satisfying. Playing him in taser I also really felt that VV was hard to execute and really punishing, so I've been thinking of other teammates for him, ig I might try hyperbloom but I wish there was a charged attack buffer without needing cons
One of the surprisingly strongest feeling teams for me has been his vape comps but not with the typical Xiangling/Bennett combo. I’ve been using solo Xiangling with Kazuha and Zhongli. Yes, Xinagling’s damage is meh without Bennett and you have to tank her damage for ER stats, but the amount of damage that Neuvillette pumps out is insane. He can easily hit 80k-100k vapes at C0. Plus 100k nukes with his burst. Granted, I also have him at R1 but I have literally no EM substats on my build, so I’m sure my damage could be better. I have seen that the CN community has been hyping up this team comp and I’m totally understanding why. And the comp just overall feels smooth to use assuming you have enough ER. Also, I’m not even using Petra on Zhongli which could definitely help me reach those 100k vapes with Neuvillette. Edit: this has now been one of my best performing Neuvillette teams from my own testing. CN TC community was definitely on to something here.
My personal favorite team for him is Zhongli, Nahida and Kuki(full EM). It's rly comfy to play. The fact that she is full EM and her healing is low doesn't rly matter cuz she is there just to activate the seeds and the healing is just a nice bonus.

73/255 c1r1 neuvi owner here and ima just say with kazuha and an electro unit he hits upwards of 67k per tick in the abyss. He literally puts my c6 ayato to shame lmao (not really but feels like it)
Enemies running away etc. is something they should seriously work out, especially if they wanna continue with the timer content like Abyss. It can be fine of even great as a mechanic, especially if there's no timer, but just having them do it with no way to react or preemptively prevent it in an intuitive manner usually just sucks, especially in a combat system based on cooldowns or steep resource costs etc.
if furina's e leaves a hydro source active on the field then he wont need to worry at all about missing swirl since electro is last in the swirl priority

Unless I am misunderstanding the passive, I thought you needed 3 different hydro reactions to keep the stacks up? Please do correct me if I am mistaken(or it's just not that important in the grand scheme of things) Second, are his setups any better in Tazer with Beidou as his lightning friend instead of Fischl? I recognize that'd probably be a lot worse in single target, but that was my first thought of wanting to build around him when I got him(and so would love to hear your input). @@jmfe10 Zajef was wrong ab shielders. Playing hin without shielders or Beidou sucks ass. Getting your whole Charged attack canceled because of a Hilichurl pebble feels as Bad as playing Wanderer without a shield.
IF your PULLING for him, go for hi C1, IT COMPLETELY changes the way you play him, you can add another hydro to the team like kokomi or barbara for hydro resonance, also since he gets a free stack as soon as you swap him in and makes getting three stacks hella easy. Not to mention his C1 gives him super Armour during his charged attack. This is for tazer team. My combo is (Kokomi E, Kazuha E then Q, Fischl E, Neuvillette E then Q). busted man fr.
my plan right now is, if Furina has bad hydro appp then i'll skip her and save for Neuvillette's rerun, if Furina ends up being broken then i'll pull for her instead.

No clue, while he will never compare to yelan in terms of off field hydro application, he’s still better than ayato as an on field hydro dps. He can’t replace Childe in international cause his hydro application isn’t as much as childes. I’ve been using him in hyperbloom with Raiden, nahida and baizhu/zhongli and he feels similar to yelan pretty much. He’s pretty good to use even when I still have him at lvl 60. The community will still need a few more months to be able to tell whether he’s the best at some specific team comp but it’s hard to tell right now. What’s really good about him rn that people do know is that he’s very flexible, easy to build and does a decent amount of damage.

Will never replace anyone in current hyperbloom tbh. Neuvi can produce seeds being an on field driver, but that means he needs to be competing with xinqiu/yelan application, not to mention his self harm and prone to knockback requires good healer/shielder, not kuki. Al haitham/nahida double hydro is still better hyperbloom. Taser is niche, if youre aiming for meta, you wouldnt use it in the first place, even if he's good at it.

I am curious if you think it's likely that Nuevillette can keep three stacks on his A1 if you are running him in a double hydro tazer(assuming he and Furina are the match made in heaven that they look to be on paper). Unless I am misunderstanding the passive, I thought you needed 3 different hydro reactions to keep the stacks up? Please do correct me if I am mistaken(or it's just not that important in the grand scheme of things)
Second, are his setups any better in Tazer with Beidou as his lightning friend instead of Fischl? I recognize that'd probably be a lot worse in single target, but that was my first thought of wanting to build around him when I got him(and so would love to hear your input).

Yeah, it's more or less similar to Hu Tao's C1. Also he needs it to gain max passive stacks if paired with Furina.
@@jmfe10 Zajef was wrong ab shielders. Playing hin without shielders or Beidou sucks ass. Getting your whole Charged attack canceled because of a Hilichurl pebble feels as Bad as playing Wanderer without a shield.

IF your PULLING for him, go for hi C1, IT COMPLETELY changes the way you play him, you can add another hydro to the team like kokomi or barbara for hydro resonance, also since he gets a free stack as soon as you swap him in and makes getting three stacks hella easy. Not to mention his C1 gives him super Armour during his charged attack. This is for tazer team. My combo is (Kokomi E, Kazuha E then Q, Fischl E, Neuvillette E then Q). busted man fr.

my plan right now is, if Furina has bad hydro appp then i'll skip her and save for Neuvillette's rerun, if Furina ends up being broken then i'll pull for her instead.

Why is nobody playing him in Superbloom
Is he best in slot for any team archetype? Does he raise the dps ceiling of hyperbloom or taser? If the answer is yes, I'll definitely go for him.
Probably not because it's better to just on-field Nahida for more blooms
No clue, while he will never compare to yelan in terms of off field hydro application, he’s still better than ayato as an on field hydro dps. He can’t replace Childe in international cause his hydro application isn’t as much as childes. I’ve been using him in hyperbloom with Raiden, nahida and baizhu/zhongli and he feels similar to yelan pretty much. He’s pretty good to use even when I still have him at lvl 60.
The community will still need a few more months to be able to tell whether he’s the best at some specific team comp but it’s hard to tell right now. What’s really good about him rn that people do know is that he’s very flexible, easy to build and does a decent amount of damage.

@@bambivv Yelan herself isn't really more suited towards hyperbloom compared to Neuvillette. She's only the better option because she's off-field so you can on-field Nahida
Will never replace anyone in current hyperbloom tbh. Neuvi can produce seeds being an on field driver, but that means he needs to be competing with xinqiu/yelan application, not to mention his self harm and prone to knockback requires good healer/shielder, not kuki. Al haitham/nahida double hydro is still better hyperbloom. Taser is niche, if youre aiming for meta, you wouldnt use it in the first place, even if he's good at it.
