Mortal kombat Deception is my favourite Mortal kombat game because of the characters, the stages and the atmosphere. The atmosphere with the music is amazing, I like the old Asian vibe of the game, the village is one example, I imagine how the old days were, when you only had knowledge of your village, you didn't have photos or videos of other places, if you wanted to know, you had to travel. The houses, the clothing, the music, the story, this game is perfect.

This is easily the greatest 3d era MK, very lore oriented, the soundtrack, stages, kharacters, etc.
MK2 then MK9 and Deception is my third but definitely my favorite 3D fighter.
Shujinko, I ate some bad kimchi, and now I feel very ill.
Ughhh so many late nights trying to beat that Jax training section 😂

grew up playing this on original xbox
Playstation 2 for me, I could never get past some of the levels because of the combos haha, so I would just walk around the beautiful ancient Earth realm hearing this amazing theme and helping people as I explored :)
@@StormtrooperGamer same i would get stuck on some of the fights (which were really easy i was just bad) so i would make sure i complete every side quest
@@otto2cool there's something about the village that just feels so hold me and I always hated the fact you get locked out of it at a certain point in the game, the side quest for also really far they made the game feel so much more real!
I want Deadly Alliance Deception Armageddon Versus DC Universe 2011 & X not to happen nor 11 or Reboot so stop appealing to Genzies

I miss when I was younger and I listened this theme in Konquest mode. I remember I used to stall in the village just to listen to this theme. Nowadays, the nostalgia is so strong that I can't help but feel at easy when I hear this ost. Love it. I still wish they made themes like these..

It's crazy to me that one of the chillest most zen gaming experiences is in a mortal kombat game of all things, konquest mode from MKD is like the most calming fighting game experience out there. You run around, talk to people, learn some moves, hear chill music.

The Konquest Mode in this game is Story Mode done right. Not the boring linear chapter-based mode from the newer games.

@Jarek Well you can, right? He roams the starting village around midnight and all you have to do is hit him to get said tooth.
@Jarek You're thinking of something different. There is a guy in Earthrealm debating with his sister whether the Oni exist or not, and he asks you to bring back a tooth as proof. And you can find said Oni walking around the starting village at midnight.
@Jarek The Oni only spawns for the duration of that mission, and when you find him, he's doing a little cheerful walk, blissfully unaware that you're about to knock the daylights outta him lol.
It's the little things that make Konquest the most replayable mode in any Mortal Kombat. Or any game, come to think of it.

I miss the Konquest mode and all its misteries and secrets, always wondering what would be on the other side of the forest or who would be in inside of the cabin.

I remember always trying to get past the invisible barriers when I was little. They literally tease you with detailed backgrounds that you can't get past which is so unfortunate
happy to know that there are other people who find this game nostalgic and played it when they were little like me :)
I wish the next konquest mode is alot like this one but of course with today's gaming technology they could add soo much more to it.
@@HanzoHattimagine if the new mortal Kombat coming out had conquest mode and it had all the worlds that this game did like outworld, Edina, Earth realm, like I'm talking all the dimensions that this game had, and then just imagine the graphics, it would be so lit
@@StormtrooperGamer the graphics would be so much better plus they could just add alot to it like fighting like shalion monks or they could add climbing, swimming, have mini games that can be won for stuff by npcs, possibly more things in certain environments like animals or whatever.
@@HanzoHatt I personally thought konquest and Shaolin monks were two great games or additions anyway because most mortal Kombat games are one-sided fighting games which isn't a bad thing of course because that's what the whole series is about but the fact that you got like a third-person 3D story mode edition was pretty cool, and I haven't played it myself but from what I heard the Armageddon konquest is it as fun just because the world is in as big or explorable plus some features were removed but they did say that the fighting had increased like there were combos you could do now as well as special moves or more like punches and kicks, which I thought would be a great addition, and yeah! More side missions from NPCs that you could complete as well as being able to go to other dimensions the only thing I didn't like about Earth Roma's how you get locked out at the village mostly cuz it holds a lot of nostalgia for me and because of the mpc's

I miss konquest mode. It was the beginning of the story mode feature and a really fun free roam game. I hope we get back to stuff like this and shaolin monks in the future.

Love it. I just wish the Ninja Star quest and the one involving Fujin had been finished. I remember spending ages trying to get back inside the village as old Shujinko
Fujin's quest can be finished, you finish it by handing him the book he is looking for.
@@tekkencentre Yeah, that is however the rushed quest. It was supposed to be longer and actually have a mini-story to it involving the MK tournament, before Midway were told they had to have it done faster than they thought.
@@TheShatteredRealms Ah that's cool, didn't know. But that means it wasn't really unfinished like the ninja star which has zero purpose in the game. It's more like cut content which happens with every game. MKX was supposed to have another scene with Fujin where he would fight alongside Jax in the Netherrealm. The MK11 intro dialogues reference this.

Kyle Howard lol in one of the last sections of the village there’s a lady who lost her dog. So you go on a quest to find it, and after a while of looking, you’ll find a guy who told you he ate the dog from the butcher who cut it up. So he gives you the rest and you go back to the lady and she’s just like “oh no!! My poor dog... wanna share the rest? It’ll be delicious.”

MK Deception fue el que más cariño le pusieron de la generación de 3D: la historia, la música, los minijuegos, el konquest, el diseño de los personajes y me encanto el diseño de la Cripta( donde los personajes se paseaban y se escondian si los enfocabas xD). Fue mi primer open world y casi pierdo el año escolar por jugarlo tanto 😆

That's the weirdest village layout I've ever seen. It has two rivers that don't connect with each other or lead to any other body of water.
I think one is a pond, but the other one is I don't know.

I've always imagined that the rivers DO connect, but underground. Same goes for wherever they lead to/come from, outside the village. Happens often enough IRL and not even the strangest bodies of water we have.
Probably just a primitive irrigation system or something
