My tactic is for every urge to allow for a one day cooldown for every ~$10 the product costs. If I still want the object after the time has passed, then I'm free to buy it. FOMO is obviously going to mess with this, but stay strong.

@@magnus80a I love simple rules and this sounds like a really great trade-off between complexity and effect!
And the radio between the numbers seems very reasonable.
I also use a small cooldown period but scaling by price seems wise!

That goblin does like to be in control. It is a good idea to always have a decent think on it as to whether you should buy it or not.
The Old World coming out has definitely switched on goblin mode a few times but I haven’t felt too bad about it as I’m painting pretty quickly and therefore don’t have as much of a pile of shame (though there is one)

@@Svengar You seem to be able one of those that actually have a good buy -to-paint ratio!
The Old World is the only GW line where i have to wrestle with the goblin from time to time :)

it works. I used to be a goblin, but now I'm a wizard, albeit not a very powerful one.

@@gav-gf7cr I just love that phrasing!
And I'm also happy that someone can confirm my findings 🙂
