Club racing with Scalextric cars is another story though 😂. On classes where you can modify your car you could be spending £65-£80 on getting your car to a standard that is quick for that class. The usual mods are guide blade with shim, new motor wire, 20k motor, air wheels and tyres. There are also certain cars that are the quickest for the classes. No car or motor is created equal so you could buy 5 motors and one would out perform the others (the more you run them in the quicker they get). On Sclextric standard classes, tyres, guide, motor / motor wire are the areas to focus on. You are allowed to float the body but not weight reduce the chassis so fine trimming to create float.
I don't know about that 🤣, it can only get better I guess. Thanks for the positive encouragement 👊. I have got several exams to revise for so not sure when I will get the next video together. The UK slot car coverage is going to be amazing this year with everyone who is going! Looking forward to it 😀. Annoyed I can't come though.
Hey Roger, I have Carrera GO. Where abouts are you from? Hope your enjoying the hobby. I have found replacement motors on ebay. Depending on where you are in the world reach out to Carrera for support and they should carry spare motors. To change a motor you will need a soldering iron, flux and solder. People do race 143 cars. If your looking to upgrade then try slot forum for information. @SwiftSlots might be able to help.
Very informative video
Thank you

Where do you get the motor replacement from. New to the hobby and can't find any info on the motor. I have a 1/43 Carrera.
