if you liked the duet of a guitarist and keyboard player, then you should see “once upon a nightmare” from the same concert, this is a very beautiful ballad with an intro accompanied by a guitar and piano, it’s sooooo Beautiful

In the Omega Alive concert, this song flowed immediately after KOH part 1. Coen said the reason he stood up at the upright piano is that it got so hot he had to move back.
One more thing to add. Simone came out with a solo single from her upcoming album. The song is called Aeterna and it was written by and features Arjen from Ayreon.
Simone Simons - Aeterna is amazing. That song is stuck in my brain right now 😁.

The portable keyboard is a REVO-1 Curveboard, made by Nu-Motion in Montreal Canada. Coen has taken it crowd surfing too, including at the 2022 20th anniversary show.
This is one of the new Omega album songs here in 2021. Mark wrote the song, Isaac co-wrote the music with him.
When you come back to EPICA, check out a more recent performance, try "Code of Life" live in Amsterdam 2023, at AFAS Live. More portable keyboard too. lol

Looks like every one wants Once upon a nightmare (omega alive). And thats a great suggestion 😃.
This probably represents the yardstick for EPIC, but there is still so much more amazing music in their locker. For more from this concert maybe try ‘Once upon a Nightmare’ or for a different slant with a an out and out ballad ‘ Rivers’ ft Apocalyptica

I’m aware that most (?) Epicans would prefer songs like KOH pt 1, 2 and 3 and ‘similar songs’, because that’s the Epica sound. But the song ‘Rivers’, especially the version with Apocalyptica is absolute perfection to me. The song itself is perfect, the video is perfect, the sound is perfect and Simone was soooo extremely good during that performance, she’s mind blowing.
Bold claim, but to me that concert is for Epica what Wacken 2013 is for Nightwish (in terms of pure perfection on every level). 🧡

Although they don't have a more ,,epic'' song, they have a lot more to offer. My favourite song of all time is Tides of Time, a beautiful ballad. Sadly, they don't have a good live from concert video, although there is a fan made one.
I would suggest:
- Once upon a Nightmare (Omega alive) - A beautiful ballad with an intro that will be right up your alley.
- Dancing in a Hurricane (Live at Zenith) - A swift and dancy song with an amazing chorus
- Cry for the Moon (video from a studio) - One of their first songs, with amazing message and it shows how good they were right from the beginning
- In all Conscience (Omega alive) - A heavier song, but I'd say still a ballad with incredible performance from Simone
Or... you know... if you're up to it. How about a whole concert? They recently released a full Omega Alive concert video on their channel. Perfect opportunity. Maybe do it as a live stream and then post the VOD?

What are you talking about? They have WAY MORE EPIC songs in their catalog. Sure this might be the 2nd to their longest songs to date, but it doesn't mean they no longer have other epic songs in their musical arsenal.

Some Tommy Johansson would be great! He recently left Sabaton, on good terms, to pursue his own stuff. He has a great cover of Iron Maiden's Aces High, on his UA-cam channel. 😁
