World's Loudest Portable Speaker - SOUNDBOKS

- This thing is so loud. Well then again it's the worlds loudest portable speaker, so that makes sense...
This is the Soundboks, design is Denmark, built in the EU, and produces 119 dB, without being plugged in. The battery life of it is INSANE as well, on a moderate volume you can get up to 100 hours of play time. HOW NUTS IS THAT!
It's weather proof, party proof, tough, durable, and loud!

Yes it maybe loud but it's hard to tell what the quality is like. A lot of people prefer quality over quantity. Would you say the clarity is as good as the Sony GTK - XB7?

My current system probably easily does 119dB at 1m and some and sounds as good as a Sony GTK - XB7 if not better. Not that I choose to stand 1m away from it at its full volume. The videos on my channel are with the subwoofers on full volume and the mids and highs only "2/3" the way up! It definitely is not portable though.

Does 119DB really hurt your ears?? I'm sitting in front of my sound system 2 meters away and i blast them to almols 130 db everyday and i just feels like... nah
depends on who you are. my daily driver does 150db and i always have the volume maxed and it doesnt hurt my ears (i have taken hearing tests and have near perfect hearing)

Haha, but it's quite normal for our ears to ring for a while if we listen to loud noise or music. My ears ring too everytime i blast my sound systems to max
The difference between you sound system and this SoundBoks is that you, with you system get nice and clear sound. If your system even at 130 decibels plays clear sound it wont hurt your ears. This soundboks is made to play very loud music. Therefor it isn't that good of a sound quality. Also it doesn't really have much bass power.
You have a different meaning of portable.

Actualy if you put the speaker it self at 100% volume and control it with your phone it sounds waaay much better ..... at least it does in my home theater system

Really not that much! There was clipping on the microphone because of how loud it was but in person, really nothing noticeable!
But since it's a PA system, how is the sound quality at reasonable levels? Usually PA is made to be loud, thats about it

If it weren’t for the high-priced tag, I would consider getting that. Well, then again, maybe not. The wait would also be a bit of an issue. To me this thing just does not seem portable at all. Maybe if it were on wheels. Then I could see it. But definitely not without.

oldnoob1 they have the Sony gtk xb7 for 250
oldnoob1 it depends on how u want to use it, btw the sony is less powerfull. if u want to use it outdoors and u need a tough speaker that as about 30hrs battery life at max vol u should go for the Soundboks. if u can afford to spend 2x more go for the xl (better sound but less loud and the battery may be like 12hrs full volume)

You better do your research. There's a speaker out there now being shipped called the Diamondboxx XL. It's a far better speaker and louder. I've checked out some of the reviews for the soundboks & most of them mention the poor sound quality. So just because it may be loud, if it sounds like shit, who really cares. To me, just looking at it, it looks cheap. The Diamondboxx is made from the highest quality materials & components. Plus it's made in the USA. I've had my XL for about a week now & wouldn't trade it for anything currently out there. It's portable plus the sound quality is unmatched.

Wow... First thing first, the daimondboxx looks so bad, like the design does not look good! Second, soundboks is made for festival, so it needs to play really loud, and so it does... The design of it, is build 100% so i does not get destroyed, and with the daimondboxx, i doubt it can handle some water..
I own one, i can assure you that indoor this speaker sound bad. But take it outside, it gets sort of balanced and get a really nice sound.. sort of like magic (think they balanced it for outside use) - And yeah its made for festivals soooo..
Like your comments. Maybe I was a little harsh when talking about the Soundboks; I don't have one, but I agree, it's probably a great speaker for certain venues. I don't think I'd be willing to take my XL outside unless I was absolutely sure nobody was going to dump something on or damage it or the weather was going to be bad. I guess if your outside at a festival & getting a good buzz on, you're not going to care if the sound is perfection. The speakers (I have 2) that I use outside are my JBL Extremes. They can get rained on a little & have a solid case so they can take a little abuse. They are also quite compact & easy to take with you.

You can find them on amazon, this is the soundboks 1, THE NEW SOUNDBOKS is number 3, you should get that instead, very improved compared to this one.

These speakers sound absolutely sub-par compared to any of the Diamondboxx speakers. Ive heard both and these really dont sound good at all.
I personally thought it sounded great, at max volume yeah the low ends were a little weaker but still sounded good to me!

Carp Ovidiu The Devialet Phantom Gold isn't portable 😂 size maybe small but it's wired needs to be plugged in. You can't take it outside use it without plugging it into a wall socket.
