Это беженец? Здоровый, крепкий, молодой мужчина. Почему он не в армии? Почему он затесался среди стариков и женщин с детьми, которые действительно беспомощны и беззащитны? Ему не стыдно?

I'd not judge, we don't know people's circumstances.... can't just judge by looks alone. Plus, he said his whole family live here in US. ...

How did the guy escape Ukraine?
I thought men 18 to 60 are banned from leaving. Is he a deserter?

People went across the border the week before in anticipation. Go thru the forest also

@@OOpSjm so he is a deserter.
Because men 18 to 60 were banned from leaving in the day 2 after the invasion.
And a lot of men that left with their families the first day, actually came back to enlist, because they care about their country, and also care about speaking Ukrainian.

@@The_SeoulJourner he had one day to leave, before they implement the ban for men.
They have two kids, he mentions that in the video. Not three.
He works at church (whatever that he does) so his religious beliefs can exempt him from service, but not when the ban is implemented.
He mentioned that all his relatives living in the states, so perhaps he's actually a US citizen long ago and only living in Ukraine -- that would explain the situation
I still would be really curious how exactly he left the country.

@@atenrok maybe he lives near the exit? Maybe he walked or traveled by car or train to a nearby country and took a flight there? 🤷
Its like the US, we can’t completely restrict immigrants coming in or watch all of them. The only difference is that those nearby countries are accepting the refugees.

@@Buttsceatcgee they're from Kharkiv. That city is 25 miles from the border with russia, the opposite direction from the actual "exit". Make an effort, and look at the map of Ukraine.

lots of them do. Russian and Ukranian and most Eastern slavic languages are very similar.
