- Steven Isserlis cello
Mishka Rushdie Momen piano
This was the encore of Steven Isserlis and Mishka Rushdie Momen's Wigmore Hall concert on Tuesday 23 March 2021.
Beautifully resonant lamentation. Isserlis' cello tone is more beautiful than ever, and soars with the deep expressivity of a lifetime of devotion to the cello. This recording is among the most soaringly beautiful cello recordings I have ever heard, including those of Jacqueline du Pre.
This is incredibly expressive and beautiful. Isserlis' playing draws me in like no other artist. His playing is magic.
Gorgeous, otherworldly interpretation. Thank you
Heavenly!
