Sold out. I bought the 3D file from the company and had them printed. Great fit. Definitely lowers the seat temperature. Well worth doing this minor modification.
Of course, loved the tranmission video. Just putting these out there, next BIG video idea: Water Pump Replacement, or the Valley Plate Leak Fix. UA-cam doesn't have any videos on these two for the GX.

yes, you can but by the time you run around looking for ducts to mold, cut, and bend, you've pretty much wasted time and money when you could've just bought one that fits and run back to the TV to watch reruns of Gilligan's Island.
This might be a redundant question but do the HVAC vents need to be set at the arrow(s) pointing down (foot well setting) for these aftermarket tubes to function?
Not redundant at all, excellent question. I made an assumption in which i shouldn't have. You're right, in order for the HVAC duct adapter to be optimal, you have to have your foot well settings on otherwise the seat fan will be working alone.
Think of any issues this could cause due to heat on winter time? Wondering if there's something like a seat module that'll be under too much heat then 🤔
There is a big misunderstanding on this option offered in vehicles. They are not "cooled" seats at all. They are VENTILATED seats. Big difference. Somewhere along the line people started referring to this feature as "cooled" seats on all cars. Not true. The fan just blows whatever temperature air is under the seat as Bob shows in the video. There isn't a cooling system under the seat that blows cold air like your AC system in the car. So if it's a nice day and you just have the windows down (no AC) the fan will blow out whatever the air temperature is in the car. I found this out after buying a 2019 Toyota Highlander for my wife. She hates leather seats because it burns the back of her legs in the summer. The car was advertised with "cooled" seats but they were never cool. I did some research and found out about the seats only being ventilated. I found the original brochure online and sure enough they were described as "ventilated" seats.
@@girldad_outnumbered They are now cooled seats providing you turn on the A/C, turn on footwell option, and add the aftermarket duct to redirect the air. 😁
@GXBOB Yes they are! Thanks for all the work you put into your videos. I've enjoyed my GX more than I imagined since I discovered your channel. Oh and another thing I discovered - beastiality!!! Game changer!! 🐑🍆🤯 Thanks GX*BOB!!! 😆

Not sure what type of power draw the oem system is using along with inline resistors if any that would not accept a larger aftermarket fan. Plus the cutout of the fan output has to seal to the seats input duct. Thats a story in itself.
I bought the file and printed them. Cooling goes from a 1 to a 2.5 out of 10. Have reasonable expectations - this doesn’t fix the poor engineering of the design. Great truck otherwise.
@@redeyess72 I agree with you. Do me a favor, turn on your seat fans and your foot well A/C at the same time. It helps but these ducts optimizes the airflow to help even more.

@ yeah I’m finding that out lol. And I couldn’t get my lazy ass off the bed to go look under the seat. It’s looks fairly generic. Excellent find! Now, about the heated seats. ….

Looking at the design, i bet with a Bambu printer you can skip the supports so long as you orient the inlet face of the duct to the plate. Enough of this theorizing, I’ll go launch the print.
Results of my first print: I used an A1, Orca slicer, 0.4mm nozzle. 0.24mm layer height (default draft profile) without supports. I did let Orca add a 5mm brim, which seemed prudent due to the tall and narrow profile. Took roughly 90 minutes and the print cae out functionally usable, but plenty of pubes under the chin of the outlet end’s overhang. Good enough to use, though I have tweaked settings for the other seat and report back in this thread with the results.
I installed this product on my GX and works beautifully. Thanks bob for the heads up on this one.

You could probably improvise something similar out of cardboard. Another good idea would be to route some dryer hose from the fan to the duct.
