The Vervet Forest is a wildlife rehab series focused on Vervet Monkeys at the Vervet Monkey Foundation . The series showcases the process of taking orphaned and injured vervet monkeys through a foster mother program which helps these rescued orphan baby monkeys to be adopted by foster mother monkeys. The show is for fans of animal planet, nat geo, discovery and anyone who is an animal lover, loves animals and would like to be part of helping them get back to the wild.

Gimli was the most distressed little one ever. I pop back now and then to remember just how traumatised the little guy was after seeing how well he is doing these days… truly a testament to the way the Foundation gives these little one their life back 💖

You guys are doing an amazing job, far more saves than losses, please commend both your staff and the volunteers for the outstanding care they give in whatever capacity the serve. Never underestimate the richness of the live you have chosen. Please have faith that all the sanctuary needs will be met, the universe is good in meeting need with supply.

Unbelievable about Rox! A car plowed into & killed the whole troop? What kind of world are we living in?He survived because he was holding onto his Mother's "undercarriage". Given the chance they rehab,survive, thrive. Love watching them with their new moms.

McGee's. Gold and Dolly are my 2 favorite adoptive moms! They are so patient and caring for these lil babies which is what they need to feel welcomed and loved again! High 5's to both those moms! The other moms are fantastic as well but my preferences are Mrs. Gold n Dolly!

I heard in this video it's winter there and you need more supplements to their food. My question is if there are certain times when a donation of, let's say $50 all at once is better than giving $5 a month? I know either will be appreciated but I really want the monkeys to have lots of food and good medical! I also wish this for the staff, so help me with some more info on the needs and times of need please.

I will never ever understand how anyone can harm any animal, the cruelty is incomprehensible, poor baby girl, at least she saw love and care before she passed.
In love the commitment you folks have to saving these animals. I can't afford to donate so I let the ads run through so that you all can get some money coming in. It's the best I can do because of the pandemic. It's probably harming other rescue organizations too. Heartbreaking.

I just recently started watching your videos and it really hurts to see how cruel and vicious humans can be to these beautiful creatures. I know it’s not much but I decided to donate and will do so as I have any extra, in hopes maybe you could investigate into these horrible acts and maybe do something about it. Idk if in South Africa there’s any kind of cruelty to animals laws there but if so these ignorant people should be given the maximum punishment. If there are no laws then take them and do the same thing to them, I won’t say a word. I’m in love with little Gimli. He’s such a cutie pie. Thank you for sharing

Dave. You mentioned there r no rivers running thru the large enclosures. How do the monkeys get water? Even as babies, you give them ilk and food, but I never see them get water.

I hate that people harm any animal, and call it fun or sport.
Humans think they are the top of the food chain and can do what they want. I say, take their guns away and put them in a cage with a wild animal that they like to kill, then see which one walks out in one piece.
Every time I see a baby with a lifelong physical difference, I worry that they will become a target of other monkeys, never regain proper ability to balance and so many other fears I have for them. Luckily they always prove me wrong.

That’s so sad I don’t know what is wrong with People. I wish they would understand they are the cause of all the problems. Not the Monkeys they’re the ones who was thrown out of their home. With no where to go not knowing what they are going to do. People don’t think of that do they they only think of themselves and don’t care about any of the animals they destroy. Thank God for the Vervet Monkey Foundation the place that loves and cares for them so they can have a new life in safety. How do you keep females from getting pregnant from there troop. Or do you ? I would love to know your procedure. No judgements here , just wanted to know how you deal with it .

I love hearing you all laugh & enjoy these babies (oldies and middle aged monkeys too) as much as I am, plus it lets me know that I might be interpreting a vervet interaction or situation somewhat correctly:) AND it’s just good that through the lock down, all of the non-stop hard work that you’re all doing & the stresses caused by this pandemic, that none of you have lost your sense of humor! :) Thank you all for sacrificing, volunteering, working around the clock, caring always, teaching baby monkeys (and your huge social media audience) about monkey life but mostly, thank you for laughing!! It’s infectious!!🙊♥️🙊

I don't know why the vet didn't keep her. Seems like she was just put through more pain. Especially with concussion but should have expected internal injuries. Not blaming foundation, but vet should have known better.
