Had a friend with one of the high TDP Radeon cards. He had a 800w rando PSU and was getting random shut downs with little to no errors in Event viewer. Asked him for the Amp ratings on the 12v rail. Total 12v power was around 500w, at 80% efficiency it just teetered on the edge of being enough power. Had him replace it with a corsair 80 plat and he no longer had issues.
Power supplies are actually important to get from a trusted manufacturer because some no name brand could unintentionally fry your components or not actually send enough voltage.
I really love how the build is so meticulously crafted. Starts with the components that mainly determine the performance being budget ones and slowly moves to less important parts that progressively get more expensive and over the top for no reason. The writing was on the wall from the start.
