I really want to see more of this great lady blacksmith doing her stuff!
I am working on a video ☺️ you will probably see it out in about a week -Jessica
I Love Seeing the Misplaced Blows that You Don’t See Very Much Of With Professionals, it’s so Relatable.
Thanks Bronson. I totally second guessed myself if I should share a video like that, since I don't have much in the way of skill. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. ~Jessica
I wish my wife would come out to the shop and do a project! You did great! Thanks for sharing. 🙏🎉🙌
Thanks for watching!
I lost it as the pointer finger rod! Clever way to show off your skills as a blacksmith after the fact as well as during any ongoing project while not burning your actual fingers.
That's really nice and doesn't look too difficult for a beginner. Thank you.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching Renee! It was fun to make. ~Jessica at Christ Centered Ironworks

I hope you share more. Not enough women forge but we are gaining ground. 😀
God Bless
Nice work Jess. This is the teaching beginners like me appreciate.
Thanks rbf caf. I can't say that I'm teaching much, just trying out a technique. Glad you liked it! ~Jessica
Trust pointer finger Roy made cracks me up. Lol it both funny and cool....
Great job Jessica!!!
Thank you Thomas. I appreciate you watching. ~Jessica
Great video and very relevant as my daughter has celtic blood in her and turning 11 this summer. I think this could be the perfect next project! Also, that pointer hand is EPIC and I must make one! HAHAHAH. CCI will always get credit for it too!
Great job Jessica you and Roy are touching so many lives. Thank you and God Bless you both 📖✝
Loved seeing a beginner on here. Wish her the best of luck in the future
Cool to see you working.
Thanks :)
Sorry to say I just watched this. Gives me more ideas for non-edged smithing. Thanks.
That's alright :-) Thanks for watching
I appreciate the fact you don't make everything look super easy. i feel like most channels they "flex" their skills which can cause anxiety in learners. I feel like beginners are great at teaching because they aren't afraid of making mistakes. KEEP IT UP!!
Good job for a first time!
Jessica , I Believe that you did a Very Good Job on that double reverse Twist !
Keep up the great work ! KEEP HAMMERING !
Looks great, Jessica!
Great job - especially for first try. Now I have to go for a first try...Love the "finger"!
Thank you very much for the upload.
I hope you start making the celtic bracelets. Because I would like to own one.
It was a nice piece of work.
Good video, it shows the difficulty beginners may have when twisting etc. I'm showing this to my wife who will hopefully get the bug.
Yep, I struggled with the twist. I had a fun time though, and I bet your wife would too! ~Jessica
Good job Jess, looks great! I've been straightening my twists on a wood block so I don't smash the detail. I like how you point out your mistake and explain what happened, that really helps. Thanks, great video! Can't wait to show my daughter this one😊
Thanks Jeff! Yeah, I try to explain my mistakes, because hopefully others can learn something from it. Thanks for watching :) ~Jessica
Good work, very helpful for learning...
Great job Jessica. A true blacksmith!!
Thank you for sharing this whole making it
that pointer finger bloody funny...respect the pointer
Yup, lol :)
Fantastic video hope I see more of you behind the camera great work
It looks great! I'm going to give it a try, thanks Jessica
Thanks! I had a lot of fun making it. ~Jessica
That 1st spiral rolled up real nice.
Thanks. I should practice that more :)
What a refreshing video! Just right for us lowly starter's thanks sis 😀 loved it today thank Anthony Kent
Glad you liked the video Anthony. Have a terrific day! ~Jessica
Looks awesome and I love the pointer finger
It is cool! Roy made a video when he made it, titled "forging a hand" about 3 weeks ago.
Thank you for making this video. I'm trying to get my daughter interested in blacksmithing.
OMG!!! I love your little pointer hand!
Fantastic for first attempt Jessica, better than I could do.
Thanks Brett!
Good job Jessica!
Keep it up and Roy will be filming for you all the time👍
Great job! Good gift idea.

Awesome!
Great job.
Thank you... the kids and I will be trying it tomorrow 😃
Good job Jessica. I have plans to make one for myself.
Awesome! I had fun forging it.
Great video Mrs. CCI.
You did a very good job thank you for sharing this
You're very welcome and thank you very much for taking the time to watch God bless you
Just re-rewatched this. Please excuse my enjoying someone other than myself struggling to draw a taper. But you didn't cave; well done!
Damn, I loved that pointy finger lol. I am starting in the business in Brazil, and really appreciate channels like yours, Roy and Jessica :D thank you
Thanks Arthur!
Nice job loved your instructions
Good Job Jess!
Thanks for watching Steve. have a great day! ~Jessica
Well done Jessica great to see you having a go at what Roy does, I will try to make one for my girl too
I bet she'll love it. Thanks for watching! ~Jessica
I watch every day I find Roy's work and expertise quite amazing and you make a great team. I'm 66 years of age and getting set up to start decorative blacksmithing as one of my hobbies, done very little in the past mostly simple brackets and stuff but I did get to the point where I could manage to shape and get a shoe on my horse after a farrier taught me. I guess first thing I will have to make is a bunch of tools although I do have a superb anvil and gas forge already. I'm excited to watch my CD plans dvd that I recently purchased. Thanks to you both for sharing such trade secrets. Toby
Well done! I'm glad you didn't edit the learning/adapting part out, great video.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. -jess
Looks good. Nice job
Thanks for watching Marc. Glad you enjoyed it! ~Jessica
Way to go! Cool project.

Thanks for sharing your work.
Nicely done!
Thanks! ~Jessica
awesome i am trying one soon
excelente!!! felicitaciones!!! saludos desde Argentina
Love the style of your hammer Jess, great job on the bracelet also!
Roy will need his and hers anvils now lol
That would be cute :) Maybe some stickers on the side? Thanks for watching! ~Jessica
Very nice job Jessica.
Thank you Chris. Thanks for watching! ~Jessica
looks just fine Jessica! way to stick with it.
Thanks Eric. I hit a few tough patches, but stuck it out :)
Didn't expect that pointer 😆
Good job , this is beautiful
nice work jessica great project to do
Thanks Grayem. I've wanted to make one of these for a long time :) Have a great day, Jessica
As Salam Alaikum 😄😄😄 move over Roy... Jessica is in the building!, great job Jessica, hope to see more
I like the pointer
it is cool! Roy made it in another video titled, "making a hand"
Way to go, I like it.
Cool Jerry. Thanks for watching! ~Jessica
Very nice job . My daughter's would love that. I think she's better with that pointer Roy. Love the channel thanks again for the helpful content
Thanks for watching Wallace. It turned out decent, and I'm proud of it. Have a great day! ~Jessica
Love your channel and embrace your work ethic and values
👍👍 good job. That came out good. I made something similar yesterday but it's a hair tie
Cool. I'll have to look at some designs for that. Have a wonderful day! ~Jessica
Christ Centered Ironworks Jessica there's some pretty cool bracelet designs you can do with leather strapping also. that I kind of got the idea for the hair ties with the steel Chopstick that goes through it. I don't know I don't wear them. Lol
thanks jessica nice celtic bracelet blessing to you and roy have a happy new year 2019
Thanks! Have a blessed new year :)
Really nice job! I will make one for my daughter. She will love it. I wonder if you could start with the twists and then do the tapers to help keep it centered?
Yeah, I think you could do it that way. Thanks for watching! ~Jessica
Jessica, you can now tell Roy to go inside, take care of the kids, and do the packing (for orders, don't throw him out just yet!! 😜).
But seriously, the bracelet looks nice. I noticed where you burnt the steel (Roy did a great video showing what burnt steel looks like).
Thanks Brian, but I'll leave the majority of the forging up to Roy :) I just like to go out every now and then for fun. ~Jessica
Aaaand that's this Christmas sorted.
Very nice
Nice job ma'am.
Nice job Jessica. Roy your going to have to set up a new anvil for the new smithy in the family. 😎
Nice job
Thanks!
This is awesome and I really like your channel name🙏🏻
Glad you liked it! I've been doing some "forging with Jess" videos. So far I'm just practicing techniques, but I'll try to do some projects soon. ~Jessica
Really want to do this
wow 💖
Glad you like it
im not a blacksmit so i wont try to give advice on that i have how ever slung a few wrenches around in my day pick your twist point before you heat and set the wrench to size first will make it lots easier to make the twists
Great job - how long was the piece of rod that you started with? And, how long was it when you finished both or your tapers? Great job!
Good job
Thanks Jack :)
I love the work you guys do. How do you finish the steel jewelry to keep it from rusting and be safe on the skin?
Hi Jacob, we use rustoleum clear coat enamel spray paint. Thanks for watching! ~Jessica
@@ChristCenteredIronworks Thanks!
Your welcome God bless
Looks great should see my first one lol
you should do another one of these but without using a torch (mostly because I dont have one)
Very nice as a beginner Smith I understand the difficulties I might say it would be nice to have some measurements to judge by
What length of stock did you use??
Great job and from a Celt these are called torques
i think whats happening is the metal is cooling and shrinking which is why your wrench was slipping off. It fits when its hot and expanded but when it cools and the metal shrinks. I have seen ppl modify small pipe wrenches for twisting metal though.
That pointer freaks me out
Why did you use a torch for the twists instead of the fire? I’ve only been smithing for six months, but we only ever use the fire for twists.
What is your goto hammer type and size
I’m a 3 1/2 pound cross Pein
Who's going to run the camera when you start your own video's? Injoyed your video------Good Job
Very nice!
You need to have hammer in hand more often... :-)
Thanks for the video...
Yeah, I'd like to. Although it doesn't look it, it took me about 3 hours to forge this bracelet. ~Jessica
Very nice wotk.
Roy you have some competition now so you eill have to wotk harder#!!
Lol, Roy doesn't have to worry about any competition from me. He's got a 10 year head start! Thanks for watching, Jessica
Great video. I like how you showed mistakes then how to correct or avoid them. I also enjoyed watching you beautiful wife. Thank you.
Great job Jessica, soon you will be giving Roy a run for his money
Ok Roy i don't know what you are going to do now. Seeing that Jessica has the show and you'll be selling your hammers. I;m sure you will find something to do. Maybe a gardening show. :)
Nice Job, Jessica !!
This is a great idea that could be a great seller!
I have a suggestion. . . How about you get outta the office and in front of the camera more often forging and call it "Jessica's Corner" ??
Thanks Corey. That does have a nice ring to it, "Jessica's Corner". We'll have to see :) Have a great day! ~Jessica
Totally agree you need your own slot from time to time. Hope you enjoyed the switch around as much as I did! Thanks Sis Anthony Kent
"She's got a little metal hand pointer just like that other blacksmith guy's channel, oh, durr..."
Lol hello Jessica you need to get more ata boys then you get I really think lol today I got to make a braclet using a horseshoe but I must say you make the bracelet making look easy,, .but I hope I can share IT AIN'T!! .but great job I do say you do
