Either sign language isn't a thing in the fantasy world or we'd just haven't experienced it yet, so gotta make do with what we can, right? My fox ears droop as I pout at the human before I give a karate chop to the top of her head earning an 'ow' in reaction. Well... At least the human finally understands that I'm trying to help her as well as understanding as to what happened to her and her arm... For once I wish I had the ability to speak, and of course this adventure being the only human I've interacted with, so this is certainly going to make things difficult in trying to communicate with her, but at least we're making some progress. My one fox tail idly sways about behind me, being over a hundred years old I'm still relatively considered a pup by kitsune standards. I've mostly kept to myself and the few brief encounters I've had with humans made me want to steer clear of them especially since every time one saw me they feared I was going to harm them. Because of that I nearly left the adventurer to her demise by the wolves but I knew I wouldn't of forgiven myself if I refused to save her, so at least my choice hasn't proven me wrong. 'Hmm?' I tilt my head looking at her like I was confused as she trailed off making a mention about me. 'She told me I need to move out? Why?' Ears perked up and the fur on my tail stood on ends as I began to back away with my hands up defensively... 'Wait... She was sent to kill me?!' I was getting rather fearful but that slowly faded when she assured me that she wasn't going to kill me. 'I... either have to follow her and leave or run the risk of more humans to come for my life?' Raising my head up to slowly look around my cave, even beyond it... This land was something I considered my home ever since I became aware of my own existence and my nature, no knowledge of my family... This was all I had known up to this point just living off the land peacefully, and now I have to leave it all behind? As I slowly came to my decision and looked to the adventurer again, she needed me about as much as I needed her to survive now. As she pleaded to me one more time with an offer with her healthy hand, I give her a sad smile but I'd reach out to take her hand and gave it a firm squeeze along with a nod of my head affirming that I'll go with her.
I did not consider for sign language to exist but that's a great idea! Also I know right, a mute listener makes a lot of sense for the story, and you guys being in the power for once and not subjected to whatever the va wants sounds nice ^^ It's something I might do more
@@LapideVoice Well, if the internet searches are any indication, it says that sign language originated back in the 17th century. But since it's fantasy, what's to stop it from being a thing within any given fantasy world? Could really help to not only make the adventurer and kitsune bond closer as they learn it but also for the human to, for a lack of a better word, be the voice for the kitsune in their travels. At the very least its food for thought when ever you decide to come back to this story. 🙂🦊

@@LapideVoice It's the least I could do. The internet can be an intense and toxic thing at times, pressuring you into doing something you don't want to in order to appease an invisible audience. It's far too much and can cause extreme stress, but not the whole internet is like that. The reason I'm on the internet so much isn't because of the hoard of voices spewing vitriol, but because of the amazing projects acomplished, the great people one can meet, and being part of communities of people that can understand you. The most important thing is to do what makes you happy, no matter what everyone says. If they don't support you in doing what you want, they aren't worth considering. There will always be toxic people online, but they only have as much power over your content as you give them. This is your channel filled with your work after all, you make the decisions as to what to make and upload. So please don't be pressured and do what you want! I'm glad I was able to spread a little positivity. I hope you have a good day!
