Being a Chef/Cook for a few decades now, I can very much appreciate the effort and knowledge you present here. It's cool to see, I really wanted to fix that sushi roll though. That soup looked so good.
Food tastes better when someone else makes it because if you’re not making the meal, you’re not getting used to the smell of the food as it’s being prepared. Our sense of smell is connected to our sense of taste so repeated exposure to the smell changes the way that we taste the final product! 🤍
This video came right at perfect time lol, I was just planning on starting doing some meal prep and trying to choose healthier and smarter foods to have readily available in the house.

Haha you know times are tough when you get dolled up for and are subsequently excited about seeing the grocery store. Being drained going to the larger, more populated stores is very familiar to me. To be honest, I just listen to my body, even though I always eat pretty clean and preferably organic. For example, when I was living in the tropics this winter, I became a raw vegan to a big part, just because my body craved that over there. When I'm in the woods and it's cold outside, my body asks for warming foods - stews, soups, etc. I also crave more animal products in those conditions and occasionally eat meat. But in general, plant based diet is considered more high vibrational, fruit being the most high vibrational solid food from my understanding. Most people I know that want/need to be attuned to subtleties, eat super clean (sugar free, no processed foods) and don't consume animal products.

This is awesome. Thanks for some inspo. I found out this past week that I'm diabetic so I'm on the lookout for fresh, healthy alternatives to some of my less than stellar staples. This vid is also a bit of a kick in the butt - if Kerli can meal prep with fresh food in the middle of the forest without running water, I sure as hell can in my central downtown apartment. Makes me more aware of, as you said, the microdecisions that start our journey to each of our versions of a pure lifestyle, as of course no two people walk the exact same path, and our destinations are just as unique. I so appreciate you sharing your knowledge with food. I'll confess that where I am in my life I really struggle with healthy eating. I'm not naturally drawn to cooking so I prefer to buy frozen meals that are super easy to make, or just really easy boiling or sautéed dishes (spaghetti, eggs)... I do try to shop in the organic sections of my grocery store as much as possible so there's that, but it's tough because a part of me knows that it would probably be better for me to be more conscious of what it is I'm putting in my body, but a big part of me finds eating food and preparing it such a chore. I often joke that I wish I could just take a pill and get all my nutrients from that. With everything else I'm struggling with in my life it's hard to devote time to meals and it honestly just stresses me out even more thinking about it. Maybe one day when I have my own place and I am in a better mental state I can devote more effort to the kitchen. When you're struggling with depression, unhealthy snack food is sooooo tempting and often gives me a real pick-me-up....Buttered microwave popcorn is my ultimate vice. I find it hard to remember how in the long run it makes things worse. Just had to share this in case any other MoonBabies had this same issue with food.
I do a lot of similar meal prep recently it’s been a lifesaver to just be able to grab a handful of diced onions, bell peppers etc and add them to my dishes. It’s soo important to listen to what foods make your body energized and which zaps your energy. For me I could eat dark cherries, coconut, dark chocolate , avocado and squash everyday.

Hi Kerli, I would learn towards growing leafy greens that might thrive more in cool climates. Use diatomaceous earth for protection from insects. As for the watermelon, you might try experimenting with an orgone accumulator around the fruit. I would like to see how you plate your fusion next time.

This and that. Some i chop and freeze, some I keep in containers chopped and raw to throw into smoothies, salads, etc
