They are seriously underrated.
agree
@@DnDOldGuard lot of bands in the world is like that and so fucking injust.
The band still sounds so incredible. I can't believe how good Kurt's voice still is. Most guys in this genre don't have their metal voice this long into their career.
*I KNOW WOW! ... Such an amazingly underrated Band and ''Epic'' Vocalist!! ...God blessed us with ''Believer''*
I still have my extraction from mortality tour shirt
Best Christian Metal band ever, period.
Great band. The Crucified and some early Living Sacrifice might be the top of my Christian Metal list. Can't forget about Mortification either!
They were never honestly Christians. Kind of like how Slayer were never really Satanist.
@Ted Rocka if you ever meet Kurt talk to him about it. He says it was more about ideas of science and different philosophies and not really about being Christian.
@@Sttonkeoj why did they play cornerstore a christian music festival then?
THAT WOULD BE EXTOL, ALTHOUGH IM A HUGE BELIEVER FAN.
Kurt Bachman is the master of riffs that sound like computer malfunctions.
Well said!
😄
I don’t know how I missed this so professional his voice is still kicken!!!! GOD BLESS BELIEVER!!!!
One of my favorite bands ever. Sanity Obscure has got to be the highlight. Amazing.
0:00 - The Need for Conflict
5:28 - Ego Machine
10:08 - Tormented
15:56 - Wisdom's Call
20:50 - Sanity Obscure

Thank you friend 🤘
Thank you bud
SANITY OBSCUUUUUURE!!!!!! 🤘
Wish they did shadow of death
This is awesome! So good to see the old school thrash played live again...& Kurt's vocals never sounded better!
Loved this show. That is me in the center-right. I yelled, "Play mindsteps ---it's so brutal!" at 20:27. Yes, I'm a geek.
Joseph Cavallaro Jr. , \m/ did ya ever try the beer they made? I lived in PA a few years ago, but never made it to their town aka the only place in the world where it’s possible to get it.
I think these guys changed my taste in music forever, like 25 years ago. Trailblazers...
How many guys (sorry ladies) in the industry are:
1) Riffmeister
2) World Class Shredder
3) Top Notch Vocalist
4) Innovative and Paradigm Shifting Song Writer / Lyricist
5) Has Ph.D in Genetics
???
I think...That guy singing in the video...may be...1,2,3,4 and 5.
@@welington3437 You get a cookie!
Yes! This is epic! Back in the day I saw Mortification, Crucified, Scaterd Few, Whitecross, etc but sadly never got to see these guys. 🤘
I seen all those bands and Believer back in the 90s
at Cornerstone festival. believer was having some sound issues cuz of a storm that came through. All those band were awesome to. Still was great to see them. This is a killer sounding show.
sometimes UA-cam recommendations are just what you wanted to hear and see... I've loved this band since the 90's...!!!
I love that Kurt's rocking the Mr. Bungle shirt.
That combined with the Voivod shirt worn by mr. Leaman almost makes this video implode due to its near-impossible coolness.
Amazing sound, amazing band
Found a cassette of these guys back in 90 totally freaked my parents out when they finally heard it.
Believer is so beautifully complex. These guys are so..good!
Incredible thrash band!! I love Extractions and Sanity obscure
Master riffsman! 👍. This was so awesome to see. Thanks!!! Been a fan forever of these guys.
I wish I could catch one of their shows.
This is one of the greatest technical thrash bands bar none!
My favorite band...GBY guys.
Long Live Believer!!!🤘🤘🤘
Unique band. Gabriel and Transhuman are great records.
i just got into this band i thi k its awsome
Believer. coroner, megadeth : i love 3 bands!!!! good riff and superb vocal .....
Holy shit.
Believer, AWESOME!!! 🤘🏻
This is f#ck in great
Holy smokes I remember the first time hearing their 1993 'Dimensions' CD/Album back in the early days of 'Progressive/Christian/Death/Experimental type metal. The whole 'Trilogy of Knowledge i.e., 'The Birth & Movement I, II & III is awesome & amazing! Believer is extremely cool. respect
So I’m 13/14 again fanboying the fuck out and hearing this played to perfection by the Trauma Team!
Come to Chicago area!!!!!!!
Watching this for a third time when you guys have another show let me know!! The best technical thrash to roam the planet!! ⚡🤙⚡
What is the drummer's name? He is absolutely killing it.
Joey Daub. He is been their only drummer since the band's formation. He has always been one of the best drummers around.
Joey Daub
Brilliant.
Wow 😯 they still sound awesome 👌 and his voice still sounds the same 🤔pretty awesome ✌️
Frikking epic!!!!!
Saw them in manhattan somewhere in like 1990
Yeah!!!!!
Amo a Believer!! Thrash metal conciente!!! Saludos desde 🇨🇴
Great band!! Cheers from Brazil!!
I met some of these guys in Pa
The voice of Kreator
Major influence on my guitar playing.👍
We all should pause for a moment and reflect in reverence the fact that Kurt is wearing a Mr. Bungle shirt.

You know it’s gonna be good when the bands guitars are up at chest level and not hanging on the ground. Kurt’s voice is still fantastic.
*Yep, ''eye' or I agree, no hanging Guitars to the ground or pants down to the fricking kneecaps, just amazing brutal Christian Metal at its best and in its finest state Kurt just killed it!!!!*
They're real guitars players ...It's all about having the proper (classical) guitar position to relax the maximum amount of wrist and finger muscles while playing.
hi i from Brazil!!!
500 thumbs up! Keep it going, these guys were pioneers in the Christian Death/Thrash scene!
forgotten, very underestimated, good band
Dont know why i didnt go. But i am one bus and one train away from that venue. Guess i didnt know about the concert
In the high school gym my buddy and I would scream SANITYYY OBSCURRRRRRE and get that echo. Seen them in Bartlesville OK with living sacrifice. They had chairs about 8 feet from the stage and u could stand between. A dude came cross body block style and landed on some girl. It was wild.
A Believer fan from WAY back in the day.
Fell down a rabbit hole earlier this evening and found this.
Is this the original line up?
Kurt and Joey were the only core members if I recall correctly, they always had different folks playing bass and second guitar
Yeah back in the late eighties it was Dave Batdorf on guitar and Howard Kraft on bass. Howard left around 1990-1991 to pursue being a missionary I believe but Dave hung around. My roommate at the time, Wyatt Robertson took over bass guitar at that point. This was during college at Messiah College near Harrisburg, PA. I lost track after I graduated but I know Wyatt left to pursue his career. Always such talented musicians. Joey was awesome on drums.
Thank you UA-cam algorithm!

👍🏽
Sounds like Pantokrator form Venezuela
Sommmm
Uooooo
What does he mean thanks for the support there are MILLIONS OF US ..Kurt is it sorry not good with names.. millions of people who admired the uniqueness and skill of the band and more Sanity obscure type material is not something these dudes are even slightly incapable of. All riffs are totally nailed with great ease. If it is even true that he struggled to play part or two few back in the 90's live (as said in an interview many years ago) it cerainly is not true now. LOL. Awesome to see them play.

It seems like believer should now change their name to Unbeliever. I don't regret purchasing their early music or seeing them in concert, but I also won't be purchasing any more of their music or go out of my way to see them live again. Still, I wish them success in this current direction.
Joz Jonlin I wonder if they are just being honest about how they’ve always been. I remember interviews with them back in the early 90’s where Kurt Bachman was talking about his beer drinking and catching flak from the Christian market for it. It seems the mask is coming off more often with a lot of these old bands I used to listen to
@@owenmayotte9920 So, because you like and drink beer (or any adult beverage) you are not -- Christian?
I guess most (if not all) Lutherans are going to hell!
Starting with Katie Luther and her father ..
"the mask is coming off" ..
May I simply ask -- what mask?
So many 90’s Metal bands tricked us into buying their music by saying they’re Christian Metal, in the new millennium they dropped the tag like a dirty rag - No wonder they had mediocre success on both sides of the camp
People change, their beliefs progress, I think you just have to accept that. Basic life skill
““Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”
Luke 6:41 NIV
You have NO RIGHT to judge them.
@@doomorbedoomed8748 neither have you the right to judge me , see how scripture works? 😉
@@doomorbedoomed8748 On the whole I agree with this, but herein lies the issue: just sheer lack of honesty. No, Christians don't have to be perfect...and perfect is going to be dictated by whatever doctrine you ascribe to...and the vast majority throw out 30% of the inconvenient sections of the bible. It would be ok if these bands would just be honest- that there is no, and likely was never, belief. I'd apply the same hypocrisy to Deicide too....but you know Christians are supposed to strive for...well, honesty. In this case, there's simply no question that "Believer" starts and ends with science.
Without the biblical, theological truth in their lyrics/purpose, there’s nothing special about them anymore; just a hollow band now. Did Believer ever believe? beLIEver?
They never were a "ministry band" ..
1/2 of Megadeth is confessing Christian .. (plus 1/2 of that is a Lutheran pastor)
Do you expect the same of Megadeth?
Do you?
Respectfully disagree. They are unique regardless of their lyrical content.
